Yes...7 pts in the Packer game were on Kap....
....but his point is still completely true.
With injuries to Aldon and Justin, the pass D was badly exposed in the 2012 playoffs.
Rodgers had 247 yards, 2 TDs and an INT, Ryan had 396 yards, three TDs and an INT, and Flacco had 287 yards, 3 TDs and 0 INTs.
Was Kap perfect in those games? Absolutely not. He threw a pick 6 against Green Bay, he threw an INT in the SB, and he couldn't get much going really early against Atlanta.
He was NOT however the reason they lost. Everyone remembers the 4 plays from inside the 10, but the fact that the kid was even IN that position to win the game is what should be remembered, not the fact that they couldn't score. They were down by TWENTY THREE points and he led them to the brink of the largest comeback in SB history.
Thank you. I forgot about the Packers pick-six, but it doesn't really change the argument. The Niner defense collapsed in the 2012 playoffs and we all know why - or at least most of us know why.
And it still doesn't change the horrible offense in the first half, and the stellar defense in the second half of EVERY ONE of those playoff games.
You guys love to minimize that with, "but but but... two halves of football!!!" Just so you can build up a sh!tty QB and blame the defense. Kap deserves his credit for being a part of the TEAM, but he most definitely did not carry a damn thing.
