Nah, 49ers fans like it when the 5th year QB throws 2 TD's to the other team to start the game. That is the mark of the bestest, most underappreciated quarterback of all time.

Bortles has only been in the league for two years lol and almost doubled his stats from year 1 to year 2. I'm looking at comparable players to see growth and they all have.

Elite WRs? one who was a 2nd round pick and look at as a slow possession WR and one wasn't even drafted...you don't think the QB helped with that?

STOP blaming the organization for all of Kap's failures. Yes the team as a whole got worse you won't here me arguing about that, but good players make players around them better not the other way around.

Kap fans keep questioning the validity of these reports because they aren't a consensus of multiple scouts, even though they appear in publications people respect like NFL.com. I wonder how many extremely positive scouting reports there are? Probably none.

Everyone keeps saying that Kap was benched for Blaine. He was benched because he couldn't physically play.
Kap said himself after the season he couldn't run or jump after the Rams game because of a knee injury. Also found out he had a torn ligament in his throwing
hand after the season. Even this morning on NFL radio Bob Papa said Kap was benched in favor of Blaine. How was Kap supposed to play? Hop around on one leg???? They had to play Blaine.

When Trent was asked about the injures he had no idea and told reporters to ask the medical staff.

If I'm the GM of a NFL team I am ordering an MRI be done the next day on my starting QB's hand, who also happens to be my most expensive player. Even if he says he's good to go. Of course he's going to say that. He didn't want to lose his job.

If the team found the torn ligament after the Seattle game when he injured it then you sit him down and order a surgery if needed. Then he doesn't hurt his knee in the Rams game. He could have had surgery on his hand three and a half months ago and be way ahead of where he is now.

Let me ask you one thing. Have you ever opened your eyes and actually read anything about Kaep with a negative and heavily slanted view? I have said many times that Kaep takes blame for his play. The problem with YOU and many others is you are putting not only his play, but the blame for everything that goes wrong on him. I have never in my life seen you say anything positive about him. Not one single post. It's all narratives from you.

It's easier to just scapegoat kaep though. Injuries to QB's only matter if they're concerning anyone BUT Kaep. If you dislike Kaep, you ignore the injuries.

Major injury to Kaep that he couldn't play through was his pride after 2 consecutive pick 6s by Mathieu.

LOL. For a long time I was one of Kaepernick's biggest supporters on here. I was quite happy when the 49ers drafted him, quite happy to see him succeed early. I certainly wasn't shedding tears when he he replaced Alex. I thought that he had all the upside in the world and as long as he kept working hard and focusing on the minutiae of quarterbacking, he'd be great.


But at a certain point, you just accept that a guy is who he is and he isn't going to improve. Kaepernick's weaknesses are the exact same now as they were when he was entering the draft. He hasn't really done anything to improve on them, and I came to the conclusion that he's just never going to put the necessary effort in to be a top NFL QB, which he has the potential to be, but he has seemingly been more focused on improving the physical side of his game, not so much the mental side or his mechanics.


He had a lot of success early and I guess he figured he was good enough that he didn't have to put the extra effort into that stuff.
