Don't blame the FO for this one. Think all this info coming from Kaps camp. Just shows we kept the wrong guy. Alex is a better player and doesn't bring all this drama.

Well they are obviously talking to QBs, suddenly this comes out after the 49ers met with Dak Prescott, who knows.

There's a big difference between talking to a QB at the combine and Kaep "finding out" that we want a QB with the first pick.

There was no guarantee we draft a QB in the first. Now with this, if true, it looks more likely. I still think we need to wait until we are in the draft. If Wentz and Goff go before we pick, moving Kap becomes a bit harder.

Maybe we trade spots with Cle...or Dallas to move up?

I would think that sending him to the Browns and having them be less likely to draft a QB with their first pick would be a good move.

Doubtful we trade up with Cleveland, it would cost Kaep+ our 1st+ more. That's too much in my eyes for Goff, I'd rather just trade Kaep for the best pick or picks we can get for him, and then see what happens when the draft rolls around. I would still look to sign a vet QB to come in to battle Gabbert, and then draft a project QB in the middle rounds (Prescott).

Everybody already knows the niners are looking at QB's. If Goff or Wentz is there at 7, good chance the niners pounce. Everybody already knows this. This changes nothing as far as draft strategy.

The level of f**k up from the organization is UNPRECEDENTED. Blame Kaep all you want, he's gone, you and the crew will have to find someone else to blame now. After they said they are going to keep you and pay your salary, you ask for a trade?! There is something mentally wrong with this kid.Correct me if I'm wrong... If he shuts up and color until April he gets paid the money he doesn't deserve. But if he gets cut the teams that have interest in him could under pay him unless he is traded? If we don't get any worthy trade offers I would just cut this fool! As much as I like him he has been acting like a reality star celebrity.
