We would not beat GB with Alex Smith. Kaep mind raped them with athletism. That was some serious display of what Kaep is capable of doing.

Alex did beat GB in the regular season with our defense keeping rodgers in check for most of the game, there were tons of FGs but we won nonetheless. Kap had to keep up with rodgers in scoring when they played.

Alot of that week 1 win had to do with Kap coming in at the end of the 2nd Q and throwing a deep pass to Moss to put us in FG range. Alex wasn't making that throw.

Kap can bring the team back when down in points, alex struggles and throws INTs when he has to play catch up, just like when we played the giants in the reg season back in 2012.

Since you don't care who wins between Kap/Blaine what do you even want? I'm just being realistic there aren't any FA QBs and the draft class is very weak. I'm not saying Kap will become a top 5 QB next season but it's not stupid to think he will play better than he has under chip's offense.

I have already stated that the best possible thing for this team is for Kap to become the Kap of 2012 under Chip so we can get this thing rolling quickly again. We have the cap space and draft picks to fix the OL with no problem. Getting the 2012 Kap is a big question mark and we shouldn't bank on it. I'd have Blain and Kap duke it out in TC and may the best man win. I'd like to draft Goff if he's available but that seems very unlikely, so maybe Wentz later on. I'm no fanboy of any particular QB, I just want what is best for the team.

Kaepernick is the most logical QB for a Chip Kelly Offense. Could someone beat him out? Possibly! But his style fits the mold and if he gets beat that is on him. I really think that he will take it and own it.

No, I mean I don't think Alex would have beaten them in the playoffs, I don't think He's have beaten Atlanta in Atlanta, and I don't think he'd have beaten the Ravens in the SB.

Anybody looking at that 2012 season and saying one sucked and the other was great is out of their mind. They were both real good QB's in 2012 and that's a fact, not an opinion.

I'm done arguing the Alex SMith/ Kap thing. Its done.

All thats left for debate is whether or not Kap should have a shot this year under Chip Kelly. To me for a number of reasons the answer is a resounding yes.

That doesn't however mean that Chip/Trent feel the same way.

I actually think Blain is a better fit. He can run, is fast, and he has great accuracy on the short passes required in Chips offense.
