He literally looks like a different man in the same jersey. It is one of the reasons I think it would be wise to hold on to Kap for one more year, there are a lot of similar qualities there in fact in some regards Cam was worse. Get him some protection, get him a coach that understands what he does well and doesn't force him into situations that magnify his weaknesses and see what you have. Now that his contract is down to a reasonable figure there isn't anything on the street that I would say is worth signing over him. We already have a backup plan in Gabbert and maybe we can draft a back up plan to the back up plan just to be sure.

No. That didn't happen. Cam has always been talented and has always made those throws. The difference is he has more eperience in the same system and plays in a system that is built to his strengths. Nobody is doing wha they're doing in Carolina. And that was what SF was supposed to do. You watch the Panthers, they have a top pass blocking line. Cam has ALL day to read from one end of the field to the other. All day. Any QB no matter how bad he is will find the open guy when they have loads of time. So no, I don't think a light just went off. I think he's experienced, has played in the same system for years, has confidence and an exceptional supporting cast.

Do you ever say anything that doesn't act like you opinion is fact.....for f**k sake already.

You Kap fan boys are going to be devastated when Chip and Trent send Kap packing. Chips offense has his QB making multiple pre and post snap reads. He will see he tape, and it will reaffirm what we all know: Kap is trash.

I won't even waste my time.

Yeah your right,,,,you aren't worth it anymore,

Can you please specific which part of chips offense Kap fits like glove? The read-option? There's a hell of a lot more to chips offense than the read option.

The passing concepts don't fit him at all. watch chip break down his offense on YouTube. He asks his qbs to make a lot of pre and post snap reads. he values accuracy, intelligence and quick decision making. None of which are kaps strengths.

Are you serious? Sam Bradford fits Chip's offense?? Thats where Kelly the GM screwed up. Kaep would keep a defense honest off the read option play action. Kaep needs to be re-coached after Kurt Warner and that Giles dude wrecked him last offseason and Kaep needs to put in the classroom work it takes but to me Kaep fit that style offense good really good.

Difference between Cam and Kaep is that Cam has command of both the offense and huddle. Cam is a little better in the pocket but besides that the main difference is Cam has the players attention, while Kaep had seemed to lose that the last 2 years.

When Cam talks players listen
When Kaep talks he's just echoing the coaches orders

I guess you're in the huddle and the locker room. When you have the coach's backing and the organization's full support, players listen. Cam has command of the huddle and offense because he's played in the same system for 5 years now. Same coach, same quarterbacks coach. Same players. All that stuff matters.

Lets not get carried away with this same system stuff being the reason for Newton's success. Newton is an exceptionally talented QB. Given time, Newton would probably excel in most NFL offenses save for West Coast. But yes, it does take time to learn, adapt, struggle, and then take command of an NFL offense.

The reason Alex Smith had 10 different OCs in SF is because he sucked and the front office didn't want to blame Smith so they kept changing OCs. The same in Miami with Tannehill. The same in Chicago with Cutler. And to a lesser extent Ryan and Flacco are the same.

The reason Newton has been in the same system for 5 years is because he as shown that he can be successful in it. He got Chud his Head Coaching job. He is doing the same for Shula. This is the same Shula that most top 25 college programs would not hire to be their OC.

So you have no specific examples of what concepts chip runs, aside from zone read, that Kap "fits like a glove" to.

Why don't you go message John middelkauf, his former scout in philly, about what attributes chip looks for in a qb. Here's a hint: it's not a running QB.

Let me put it this way, if Chip had Kaep in Philly those 3 years, Philly woulda been L E T H A L. But now the 49ers don't have the Weapons Philly has so its gonna take time to adjust unless Kaep continues to go Potato like he did this year 2015 and 2014.
On Blaine Gabbert being a fit:

Greg Cossell: I could easily see Gabbert being more effective in Chip's offense than Kaepernick. Now one of the problems that Chip has had in the NFL is he likes to get five (pass catchers) out, which increases the pressure on your quarterback. And that's not Gabbert's strength. And you need a really good o-line, which he did not have in Philly and which he certainly does not have in San Francisco as we speak right now.

OoooooooooooOOOOoooooooooooooO

I saw Kap flipping through a magazine once. Does that mean he's making multiple reads?

So, Kaep won't be able to function in an offense that was lethal with the likes of Foles, Bradford, Sanchez, etc? Some people are really getting desperate. I think a lot of people didn't watch Chip at Oregon.

If he reads the bible and then reads the TV Guide, is that making multiple reads?
