I take it that Marshall Newhouse didn't pan out as well...I hope Skule and BrunSkull improve fast.

I'd be perfectly fine not knowing how well they improve this entire season.
Niners allow 1 hit/1 sack.

I hope they will, and I think they will. They've been on the money with McGlinchy, and I was impressed with the OLine pass protection in the Buc's game. Now the run game, which is supposedly easier to learn than the pass protection stuff.
Hard to run the ball when there's a 350-pound immovable Samoan in the middle of the defensive line.

Hopefully the line will be intact for the SB...sending BB / Brady into retirement

Totally agree with your sentiment, it's time for a rising new 49er dynasty to knock off an aging and old corrupt and cheating dynasty!

The entire LOS was constantly being moved backwards. Not one player...the entire OL. A quick screen and short passing game minimized the hits, sacks and pressures but it also minimized the offense as a whole too. And they ran 30 times.

But overall, this was a solid first road game plan and they pulled it out. It's something to build on for sure but it won't get easier. We could see a lot of game plans like this.

Right just like people bringing up qb hits from 2018

Nothing wrong with saying overall they played well in pass-pro on Sunday because they did.

Now can they keep it up throughout the yr? Wait and see.

The problem with the OL is that it is not holding up against the defences and that puts pressure on the QB and forces errors. Hits and sacks is only one aspect of it.

Sure if JG was not rusty he would be able to deal with it better but the OL should be a lot better then it is and there is not a lot of depth there at the moment. It is different at WR, RB and QB and Defense where there is a lot more depth now then in recent years. If Staley or McGlinchey either individually or both get hurt, we are screwed.

This but also add lack of depth. See my post above
