Smith would have to be waived to make the practice squad, if they kept him on the original roster they must feel that he would get claimed

I took it not wanting to expose him to waivers for fear of being claimed. I don't think they knew but they did fear it.

If he got waived today, my first assumption would be that they see the guy taking his roster spot as needed and necessary as well as someone they did not think would be available.

Can't believe it..teams claiming players off waivers and we have the second pick of players and not a word yet that we claimed anyone.

I worry that Shanalynch are thinking too highly of their players that they don't need any upgrades on the OL.

Definitely. I really like Deebo a ton too. I do believe the WR's hadn't gone yet so there was a very reasonable scenario where after Risner, like with Pettis, we move up to get Deebo too. Crazy deep WR class too (in theory).
