"I gotta cover up these G's" drill is what it looks like to me.

BTW: good find. You don't miss a thing.

PFF has SF as the 16th ranked OL...that's not too shabby. they also stated they have the most potential to outplay their current ranking.

If nothing else, it should be more balanced.

Yup, I can't see the guard play being any worse than last yr (Laken/Garnett both have full off seasons now). Massive upgrade at center, Joe is Joe, and I think MM is a more balanced RT than Brown was. OH and they have Jimmy GQ for a full yr

I wonder how T Brown is doing at the NE camp? Their gonna whip his big ass in shape. I also wouldn't be shocked if he's a FA end of the yr, Bill isn't thrown down top end money anywhere.

Yeah, Fusco was our best and most consistent G last year and the 2nd FA signed. I think Tomlinson gained momentum last year, he's slimmed down and now it's year 2. That alone should equal or better Fusco. Staley is a rock. Richburg has an incredible ceiling as does McGlinchey. If Garnett, Person or Cooper can play at an adequate level, mid-tier is about right with potential for growth after continuity.

I don't expect Richburg to fly out of the gate but exponentially get better over the weeks. With MM, it's not fair to expect a clean sheet in PP every game like with Brown, who's a much better fit in the Pat's scheme now. But no doubt, MM will balance the sacks/hits/hurries by adding far more in stretch runs.

And like you said...Jimmy G doesn't like to hold the ball. His decision making and proficiency in this scheme with a full of season, should help the OL even more.

Agreed, honestly as long as they stay healthy I'm not worried about the OL for once

I'm expecting Richburg to be a stud from the jump. Dude is an outstanding player. The only reason I soured on him in free agency was the concussion stuff, which appears to be overblown.

The OL could be a bright spot by the end of the season.

I'm with you...feel much better than last year esp. with the upside.

He certainly has the acumen too. I just figured so much complexity runs through the C in this scheme and it might take him a while to get down all the nuances...not that I expect him to play poorly as he grows.

Then again, didn't the Giants run a WCO?

McAdoo Ran a WCO and I remember in 2014 richburg was looked at as a ideal fit for ZB schemes
It looks to me that Garnett is on the bubble... wouldn't surprise me if he gets cut during TC

It will cost SF more to cut him this yr

Thanks...that's what I thought. This may more seamless than I first thought.

Yeah, he'll probably be on the 53...the question is whether he'll make the active 46.
