If nothing else, it should be more balanced.
Yup, I can't see the guard play being any worse than last yr (Laken/Garnett both have full off seasons now). Massive upgrade at center, Joe is Joe, and I think MM is a more balanced RT than Brown was. OH and they have Jimmy GQ for a full yr
I wonder how T Brown is doing at the NE camp? Their gonna whip his big ass in shape. I also wouldn't be shocked if he's a FA end of the yr, Bill isn't thrown down top end money anywhere.
Yeah, Fusco was our best and most consistent G last year and the 2nd FA signed. I think Tomlinson gained momentum last year, he's slimmed down and now it's year 2. That alone should equal or better Fusco. Staley is a rock. Richburg has an incredible ceiling as does McGlinchey. If Garnett, Person or Cooper can play at an adequate level, mid-tier is about right with potential for growth after continuity.
I don't expect Richburg to fly out of the gate but exponentially get better over the weeks. With MM, it's not fair to expect a clean sheet in PP every game like with Brown, who's a much better fit in the Pat's scheme now. But no doubt, MM will balance the sacks/hits/hurries by adding far more in stretch runs.
And like you said...Jimmy G doesn't like to hold the ball. His decision making and proficiency in this scheme with a full of season, should help the OL even more.
