We can get Kolton Miller and Harold Landry.

I would do it in a heartbeat, but Bill is still probably butthurt about getting fleeced.

Listening to the Kyle Shanahan interview from the owner's meetings, and it sure sounds like the team is high on Laken. I'm starting to think the team is more concerned with adding a tackle than a guard...

Get you a man who can do both

I don't agree with you often but here, if doable , I'd do it in a heartbeat. The catch? We're going to be lucky to get Landry. Now, if the run on QBs gets pushed back and Saquan, Roquan, Minkah, Chubb, Nelson, go early, sure. But if as most think the QBs go 1, 2 , 3, 5, then hopefully we get Landry. To move back even 2 slots, i would be worried about losing Landry...Note, this is assuming JL thinks he is THE guy . If not, Davenport ...but he's still prretty green. Man, i just don't see how Landry would still be there at 23. The 31, yes, Kolton would be there but same for Wynn, and Hernandez. So that part works. What decides this is how badly JL wants the best ER on the board once Chubb is gone. But i would love to see this happen. The space between #9 and 59 is just too great....almost all those guys are going to start either this yr or next. We need to be in that 50 man spread twice. If JL isn't 1 00% sold on Landry, well, doable. Question is at #9 will there still be a QB Bellichek wants? That could kill it also.

I think the starting lineup will look like Staley at lt, lake at one of the guard spots, richburg, Cooper beating out JG at camp(or JG gets traded draft day), and brown, with the 49ers looking for a replacement tackle in the draft to eventually replace brown and/or staley

With Suh and Donald coming at us twice a year, we had better be ready to go to th knees! Those two need to be cut blocked early and often, we may need to raise Bob Mcitrick bones from the dead! We will need to be an aggressive nasty, and a little bit dirty offensive line!

Is Bruce Collie still alive?

Not sure, but if we can borrow Kevin Gogan's brain and put it in a cyborg that might help.

Love the Kevin Gogan reference!

This

KG had one of the nastiest attitudes toward the opposition of all time.

I hope our guys get bit by that bug.

The fact that McKittrick still used him exceptionally well in this system despite preferring smaller OG was in itself amazing.

Excellent call!

John McKay coached against him while he was head coach at USC and Prothro was HC at UCLA.

Also former 49ers GM and UCLA HC Terry Donahue was a player for Prothro at UCLA.

Former UCLA coach Terry Donahue, who played at UCLA from 1965-66, was part of a defensive front that included Dick Donald and Erwin Dutcher, which seemed to confuse Prothro.

"I'd see Tommy coming down the hall and I'd say, 'Hey Coach,' " Donahue said. "He'd say, 'Good afternoon Donald.' There was only a one-in-three chance he'd call me Donahue. But screw up on the field and he never got your name wrong."

Prothro had been an assistant at UCLA on the staff of Red Sanders, who made the Bruins into a national power, winning the national title in 1954.

Yes, the football coaching fraternity is smaller than one thinks...or than I think at times. Walsh was close to quite a few really good football minds. Kind of like Chip Kelly's connections with Belichick, but times ten...or infinity.

Other than rounds 1 and 2, I actually wouldn't mind him. I think he could be a solid RT.
Not that we have room to laugh but Seahawk OL are the best.

Enjoy.
