maybe after the Eagles DLine kills us again, Shanahan and the FO will learn their lesson, but probably not

I would say the poor secondary was almost always the bigger reason. That and qb play that missed opportunities in the early days

Im no fan of Burford or Brendel and would like them replaced. But they are both better at their positions than either of our safeties and are on par with Green at corner.

Yup, I'm vocal about our o-line woes over the years but they have been better this year. Tomorrow we shall see but in the end the o-line played pretty well especially in pass protection. Injuries derailed this rosters ceiling for sure.

Hennessy should be brought back. He played well. Pleasants looks to be a solid backup and is a RFA and should be back. We could do worse than Colby as a backup guard. Burford should be cheap to be brought back.

LT- Trent Williams / Austen Pleasants
LG- Spencer Burford / Connor Colby
C- Jake Brendel / Matt Hennessy
RG- Dominic Puni
RT- Colton McKivitz

That's a pretty good solid Oline and they play great in Shanahan's scheme

Still thinking this?

Alot were after a few good games by the OL. What people dont seem to get is that if you going to evaluate performance you should look at more than a few games.

Absolutely. I think you are underestimating how important quality receivers affect the offense as a whole.

You don't have the 7th most YPG, 10th most PPG and 5th most passing YPG with a weak Oline.

The Hawks didn't fear any of our receivers and we don't have anyone who can threaten a D on deep routes. The Hawks didn't have one player last 10 yards for the entire game which in turn took away the middle of the field and made Kittle and CMC useless.

I fully expect the Eagles to do the same.

Truth.

With Aiyuk and Pearsall out of the picture, there is no reason to have any defender more than 8-10 off the LOS. The result is the running game fails, as well as the short passing game that counters blitzes.

I would love to see the 49ers take Philly to school but I'm not holding my breath.

So....running game. The staple of this offense? Something we absolutely need agsinst Philly on Sunday. How does the OL rank?

It's not necessarily the Olines fault when CMC has lost his burst on outside runs and Shanahan won't play Brian Robinson more than 5 snaps a game

Philly is also one of the best teams defending TE's this year. So the outlook doesn't look great
Colton McKivitz finished with the 5th most All-Pro votes for right tackle. I know people like to complain about him, but he is a solid right tackle this season.

Yup. The dude talked a big game in the off-season and backed it up.

If I am not mistaken, Mike McGlinchey finished one place behind, 6th most All-Pro votes for right tackle. Most here also complained about him when he was here.
Brendel's about to get ragdolled into purdy all night by Jalen. Hopefully we get a bunch of rollouts because it's going to get ugly up the middle.

And Shanahan won't adjust until they're down multiple scores

This is what I'm curious about. He did rollouts constantly against the bears and we steamrolled them offensively. But against Seattle nada. Very weird but let's see.
I don't doubt that having most of the O line intact for the seaon helped their play. Continuity goes a long way toward building a decent line.

Yah gonna find lots of defenders in the late 4th round to step on field right away.

Well let's see Seahawks just found 5th round CB Woolen who is probably better than any CB we have .

Just found? He was drafted 4 years ago a regressed to the point they wanted to trade him and lost his starting position

You're wrong as usual he's back starting and just doesn't fit in the scheme of McDonald and is a free agent. But the Rams are the team to pick him up for next year
Lot of excuses for you being wrong, get over it

Nah you might want to look inward

Jobe has started the last 8 games. Maybe do some research and know what the f**k you are talking about if you are going to talk s**t

Dip $hit Woolen is the starting nickel but there you go again with double talk

Pathetic. You are so full of s**t. This is very basic info out there for anyone to look at

Chill.

Gotta give my punching bags some credit. They held up well in pass pro yesterday. I didn't see that coming. Only if they could run block. Good game
