Most likely they will do that. I can't see them taking offensive line high although they need that.

I wouldn't be mad at all if they did nothing but draft OL and safety with all of their picks next year lol. They have to hit on at least one of each that way..

I miss Joe Staley, maybe not as talented as Trent but he was the leader of the o line and guys just baffled. This o line is in shambles.

This OLine is in shambles due to a lack of talent not a lack of leadership.

It's malfeasance if they don't draft a tackle first pick.

They need to figure out who Puni really is. Is he a long term starter or was his first year a flash in the pan? He's a great athlete with great size and skill but his head is not into the game right now. He's missing blocks, getting false starts, etc. It's like he's playing distracted.

Hopefully it's due to injury or it creates another hole on the Oline.

Although McKivitz isn't the greatest, I think the main problem is our interior with that triple core of Colby/Brendel/Puni(with his sophomore slump).

The pass and run blocking are obvious. What about the many times we have a screen set up perfectly and they dont block a single guy.

Absolutely! The interior is playing so poorly that it almost doesn't matter who the tackles are or how they're playing, especially in the run game. I'm not trying to make excuses for Williams or McKivitz (they don't deserve them), but it's hard to play tackle if the interior of the line can't handle their assignments. This has to be Brendel's last season as a starter.

Injuries to Bosa and Warner suck, but we weren't going anywhere this season with this offensive line. For starters, can we please fire Chris Foerster at the end of the season and never give him a job with the Niners ever again?!?

I'd really like to know the answer to that. Guys don't get weaker and slower in their second season, so I suspect he's playing through something that they aren't disclosing. The squandered off season hypothesis makes less sense each week as you'd expect regular practice would yield some improvement. That doesn't seem to be happening.

They ignore it almost every year for 9 years in a row. So is it really surprising at this point? They just cross their fingers, hope for the best and hope it gets better.
So ridiculous that no one has stepped in and demanded that they fix the oline. The neglect and refusal that they (Kyle/Lynch) have shown by just ignoring this issue shows a level of arrogance that's not excusable.
The neglect of the oline and special teams should result in one of them losing their job.
