As long as Forester remains the OL coach, we're going to.

What he said last offseason about prefer skill players over linemen is one of the dumbest things I've ever hear and OL coach say

As shown last night (and KC's loss to Tampa), if the offensive line doesn't hold up, it doesn't matter how many skill players you have, they're not going to score TDs.
I've been frustrated with the coaching staffs philosophy for years. It's not all of a sudden gonna change so what do you do………
Kyle and the front office are gonna concentrate on the d line and they will let the O line ride with "it'll get us by" for another year. It just is what it is……..
big win for the OL thread last night. philly bossed the game with OL and DL play. it was a fortress in pass pro and they were pushing the KC OL into patrick. what a beatdown, in the trenches.
Philly O line did a great job at picking up the blitzes. Thats the key spot where Brendel fails time and again.

Have to get an upgrade at center. Make a trade or sign someone.

If they continue to ignore the Oline that's on Shanahan & Lynch.

"ignore" the OL, but still can make NFCCGs and SBs .. that shouldn't happen
in the spirt of NC we just witnessed a tier 1 OL dominate a super bowl over a first ballot HOF coached and QB'd team. he must be smiling down upon us today

Lol I was thinking the same thing. Whatever happened to that guy? I went from seeing his posts everyday to nothing the whole past season.

i don't know what happened
all i know is he was making some good points about the trenches, and the tiers. that PHI OL was the biggest of any SB. a fortress in pass pro and a bulldozer in the run game. they of course have their push play, which is more or less unstoppable in short yardage. Bills would have made this game, if they could only do push plays.

then you see KC thuney at LT and getting tossed all over the stadium. i don't know if any SB had such a staggering difference in OL play, philly OL dominated, and KC OL got spanked all night

If that's what it is we are not going to win. Certainly not the big one.

I can't agree because I didn't hear Jones' name all night until he had a boo boo, so they won in my book!

He had a point, but we do it to the extreme. You can get by without the Eagles Oline. The Chiefs have been bad at tackle for years. But at a certain point, you have to have guys that can run block even when the other team knows it is coming and pass block when another team knows it is coming. Id love the Eagles Oline but they have an all time great Oline and great luck with the Dline. With that said, the 49ers have invested a ton in DLine. They just ignored run D the last two seasons. With Oline, their success has been a blessing and a curse. Finishing in the top 4 for four out of five seasons had them believing they could get by. Saddest thing is we missed two really good Oline classes.

I think if we can get stout with our IOL, the combination of Brock's processing, Kittle, hopefully an ascending Pearsall, and Jennings should give us a chance against Philly. Of course we would need Aiyuk to make a full recovery. It's pretty straight forward on offense. On defense, we need help at every level. I'm hoping some team gives us a 3rd (not realistic, but one can hope) for Deebo. If I'm the 49ers, I'd move him for a 4th.

The Eagles' HOF center, Jason Kelce, retired. The Eagles won the Super Bowl after that.

Jalen Turds was sacked 38 times this year - a higher sack percentage than Brock - and despite Barkley's big year, the Eagles were not able to run the ball effectively in the Super Bowl. Despite this, the 49ers' fan takes is that this shows the importance of offensive line.

Did you happen to look at Mahomes' OL?

Also I saw an Eagles OL that was giving Jalen a ton of time to find open guys. He made a couple of good quick throws as his WRs(who can beat press) got separation.

So yes, I would say this SB is a great reminder that the trenches, which does include OL play are key building blocks for a good roster.
