NY, the only guy NOT in the running IMO is Martin, who I do not believe makes the final cut. If he does, then this team is no where near as good as I thot.
He's the only backup on the squad with center experience and is only 22. You want to cut a third round pick who is only 22 years old? Seems like jumping the gun a bit. Not saying he's played well at all so far but you could expect that from his age alone. Has any center in the history of the NFL played the center position above average as a 20 year old? 21 year old?

IMO. Martin won't get cut this season.
BUT, again my 2 cents, he need to show substantial improvement.

I hope he ends up returning to his previous form where he completely locked down a pre-injury Clowney. If he wound up as a starter I wouldnt be the least bit surprised. He was looked at as an early 2nd rounder prior to his injury so hopefully he gets it together.
Clowney as of right now seems to be a bust and over-rated....It's not saying a whole lot , like he shut him down.

Hard not to wonder about, truthfully. This is the same staff that left Devey in there even AFTER Tiller had proven to be a vastly superior player. From the get-go, the players questioned the lineup choice. I won't harp on the Trenton Brown. He probably started a little later than he should've, but I imagine he probably wasn't ready until mid-season.
The Devey thing was just inexcusable. Here's to hoping Thomas, almost 3 years removed from the ACL injury, comes in and shows he can be the player he was expected to be coming out of Clemson.
Good points! Dewey was inexplicable. Seemed like Foerster wanted him so had to justify the decision. Either that or he was a practice warrior.

I don't see Martin getting cut unless they bring in a vet center...we don't have a backup at all.

But I guess that's for another day, sorry guys, venting

And I think his tenure here effectively ended when he decided to listen to his agents and hold out of camp.
I guess you guys were satisfied with Pears,Tiller,Martin,Brown,Davis M.I.A.?,Devey or the 2 draft picks. I take Boone over any ot them all day long. We just see things different and Yes I will move on

What you paying Boone to play RT? What has he shown to be affective there? Ever since 2012 his play has gone down. Like wrath said he wasn't coming back and you'd have to overspend to have him stay here...

so i do not want boone back so that means i like pears. right. one thing always has to lead to another around here. have you actually seen boones play in the last two years? do you want a guy who b***hed about how hard Jh worked him? it was club med last year and there is no way he would have been happy with how hard chip will work these guys

you guys, sometimes you all just need to read between the lines.
the minute Boone saw what was going on w/the organization, he knew that he's quickest way out was to start being a jerk.. holdout, ask for so much money, play average, then start talking...
Boone wanted his way out of SF he just felt that if he's gonna finish his career on a mediocre team, or if there's no championship team that would be willing to sign him for the right price, he may as well make his RICHEST now regardless of what team that is.. he just went for the money just incase his career is close to an end..

It will be better, and the long term depth looks good with the 3 draft picks
Still a big question mark at RT, Pears may start, not so sure Brown can handle it, hope im wrong
Under the radar guy to watch may be C.Kelly, Young CFL right tackle many NFL teams wanted to sign

"One thing Pears has going for him is he lost weight and is in better shape this season"
So, instead of pass rushers getting around Pears to harass our QB in a matter of
[ 1 second ], rushers will now have
[ 1 1/2 ] seconds to do so...
We're still ****ed
