how does this prove my statement incorrect ?

Guess a 9th ranked OL would be outstanding and tier 1. Funny how that works

Would be par for the course for him. Pathetic indeed

I think he's a good poster, whether you agree with him or not. Saying he'd root for an opposing team is a bit much, man. People don't spend this much time here unless they love the team, and saying we need a top line to win it all is correct IMO. I was dubious about the right side of our line to start the season but have been proven to not know anything. The line is great so far and improving weekly. Lot of other dudes here with s**t takes where you could clown.

Guy comes out doing victory laps immediately after each playoff/SB loss how he was right on the OL…then tells us later he never said the OL was the main reason….then later says it is the main reason and he always calls it. He's way too focused on trying to be right and it's gotten old. To the point people are blocking him .

Not saying he's a bad poster. He just wants to be right more than anything else in the world, including the 9ers winning IMO.

You saw this very phenomena in the Lance thread. People get so married to their opinion that it becomes more important than anything else. Then when others disagree its because they are haters or excuse makers or some other dumb adjective. It's all a version of the same thing. It's why a consistent standard is so important.

For example. You watched the AFC playoffs I assume. You saw the KC Chiefs OL struggle and them win despite it. Yet somehow the narrative is so great he can't admit that very thing thst he points to a dumb rating from end of year as of that negates their actual play. That's someone so married to being right that objectivity no longer matters.

The victory lap trumps the title.

Foerster on dealing with the Wide 9. Personally, I think the Wide 9 is really bad against the run - but great against the pass. I see Kyle running CMC and Mason down the Brown's throat in this game. I bet there's going to be some big play action long bomb's to take advantage of - what I think - will be a downhill run game vs an outside zone run game. The Interior Offensive line will be key - Brendel, Banks/Feliciano, and Burford - have to play a good game.

Do they use the wide-nine defense?
"Yes, they do."
What's difficult about facing that?
"Well, I just think more than anything else, it's one of the reasons why we gravitated towards the wide-nine and the jet defense. It's just penetration, sometimes is difficult to deal with for an offense, especially when in certain run schemes you're trying to get to the line of scrimmage and they're in the backfield and it's just disruptive and the wide-nine kind sets edges, it makes it harder to get outside. You have to find ways to do it. We talk about the wide-nine defensive end, it's a bigger guy out there, but 3-4 defenses, hose outside linebackers are wide-nines setting the edges as well. You go back, I remember when I was in Indianapolis and I was coaching [former NFL tight ends] Dallas Clark and Marcus Pollard at tight end and they had [former NFL linebackers Mike] Vrabel and [Willie] McGinest, they didn't call them wide-nines, but they were wide-nines and they were setting the edge and you weren't running outside of them. That's kind of what this wide-nine does as well. It kind of sets the edge of the defense. They don't feel like you can run outside of it and then the rest of the players play off of that."

Right?

When Patrick Mahomes is all you guys have for evidence of a QB (who didn't) win a Superbowl without a tier 1 OL, that's a REALLY weak argument.

<sounds of crickets>

They have the same tier OL as they had last year: good interior, average & bad tackles

LOL. They are no longer a tier 1 OL at all. And yes, PM will make any OL better like any tier 1 OL will help make any QB better. I know, earth-shattering concept.

So you are now on record that the Chiefs will be the first recent team to win a SuperBowl without a tier 1 OL.
