Why did the mods lock up my thread? There should one for Willis alone now that that its not a rumor. Is Justin retired too, no, so separate the two of them.

You need to read this thread and know it's not official.
Turn on ESPN, John Clayton said he's done

Schefter says he's not
Believe me, I hope God changes his mind and tells him to play one more year...lol

I think he's doing an epic April Fools prank.

Umm read this thread, Adam Schefter says he's not 100% sure yet, friends are trying to convince him. Regardless, it was my decision to lock your thread we have two Patrick Willis threads already going on.

So you did Kolohe, ok.....did I ever tell you how beautiful the Hawaiian culture is

Definition of fairweather fan. It's your right, but that's the very definition.

No it's the definition of someone not wasting his time on a losing Franchise. I spent a lot of money last season on tickets, merchandise, food, drinks, and whatever else.. York is the headed toward Daniel Snyder territory and I want NO part of that. If more fans decided not to spend money on the franchise then changes would be made to the FO that are truly needed. Wake up.. Players would rather RETIRE than stay and play for the 49ers. So, I should just accept that the 49ers are garbage and won't improve for a decade and I should continue to spend money to support that? No. Not Happening. I got 50 yard line seats that I am trying to sell.

52 posts in and he's out! Good bye. Niner nation doesn't need you. May I suggest the Raiders...
Surely p-willy could do a lot more for the community by playing next year and donating even 5% of his salary to good causes. He could of course even donate a much larger percentage.

That money would do a lot more good than his time could.

Pathetic.

Should have never had the seats to begin with. If this is all it takes for you to turn then you never should have paid for the tickets to begin with.

Good riddance.

As much as I love Willis, I wouldn't want him to keep playing if his heart is not in it. I would rather he retire a Niner and let the team move on if it is something he is truly considering as an option. I believe the old cliche goes something like this, "Once you are thinking about retiring, you've already made your decision"

All it takes is for Bowman to remind Willis that its sinful to waste the gifts that God hath provided us. If you don't use it to his glory he takes it away from you. That's what I learned as a little boy going to church with grandma
Just hope nobody comes crawling back if we win some games this year.

If Patrick Willis decides to retire, even though I would like to see him continue as a 49er, I have no problem with him or his decision.

He should do, and I think will do, what he feels is best for him. It is his life.

He has been a great player for the 49ers and I appreciate his efforts and his play.

Thank you Mr. Willis for your contributions over the years.,

Borlands got huge mega shoes to fill, but piece of s**t? Cmon maaaannnn.

That's some strong words. You will feel different when you get over the shock like the rest of us.

This happens to just about every LB eventuall. Patrick Willis got trucked by a Ravens lead blocker in 2011. We all just pretend we didn't see that

I'm in the same boat. If there is any doubt as to whether he wants to come back, then just hang 'em up. A wise man once said, "Get up and look, step in. Jump in. Let's go. All in."

It's hard enough to play when a player is giving 100% effort. To give anything less would be cheating himself and the team.
