Wed have 15.5 available, IF Brooks/Willis are traded then it would free up another 3.4 MILL(Brooks more importantly being @3.2 cap hit if cut,Willis only .2 cap hit) giving us a today of 15.9 MILL AVAILABLE not to mention draft picks that wed also receive! I think were also going to free up cap space by restructuring Kap&some other lower level players on our team which could put us close to 20 MILL TOTAL.Take out give or take 6 MILL for rookie class? Still overall of 16 MILL free. With our all injured players coming back from injuries, all our "Redshirts" from last years draft:Brandon Thomas(Potential starter @G),Trey Millard(Possibly faster version of Kuhn mixed W/Rathman),Kenneth Acker(Showed flash at CB),Keith Raeser(Potential Baalke Special at CB). Not to mention returns of Hunter/Cook WITH ALL THAT BEING SAID, I love Willis dont get me wrong but he has a 9.2 hit&even if we dont trade him it would save us 9 mill total. With emergence of Borland,return of Bowman who IMO will come back just as strong&dominant player(See Thomas Davis,modern medicine),depth of Wilhoite+Moody/Skov/Rookie wed be more then good and thus making Willis expendable. I believe this would be the perfect year to trade up&sign an impact field stretching/jack of all trades WR. Sign WR for 6 MILL, then youd have 10MILL for starting DE/CB. Thoughts?

Agreed. Lynch will be a second year. Hopefully re-sign Skuta for insurance. Still got Lemon. Possibly draft one who slips some to develope. Not worried. I want to make sure DE is being taken care of.

Ya gotta get off that 9 mil man. Its messing with your head. If Niners think it's too big a number, they'll talk to him about restructuring it. What they won't do is make one of the best players in the entire league a free agent or trade him for much less than his worth in order to elevate a guy who played half of one season and ended the year on IR. As a rookie.

WAY too risky to put all the eggs in the Borland basket...especially considering he was an injury risk coming into the NFL to begin with.

I respect that. Are people atleast getting where im coming from with all numbers, suggestions etc ive mentioned. I believe we could take advantage of it this year&still be setup going forward. Tomsula will have the boys going hard.

Marvin, you gotta agree my man. Cooper/White/Parker arent guerenteed to be able to come in day one and give you that threat and take on any corner in the game. Its not easy, thats why I wanna get one of the big boys&possibly still land one of the big 3 in draft to groom to take over for Boldin one day. That could put us over the hump.

Thank you. ILB in a 3-4 isnt as vital compared to a 3-4. AND if you can remember,if were in Dime packages, it was Bowman on the field on 3rd downs. So another argument would be at times hes not even a 3 down player, and it is passing league so he could POSSIBLY not be on the field as much against pass happy teams.

OK trading Willis is crazy and thinking you can sign Gore for a million is fantasy stuff. The Vet Min for gore would be $ 970,000 so basically a million. There is now way in hell Gore signs anywhere for less than 3 mil per year.

Just imagine the savings if we cut Aldon, kap, bowman, Justin, Boldin, Staley, vernon, we could go out and sign Dez Bryant and Suh and then cut them also to save even more.
