This

between this and the work done by ck here in the off season should make people excited about ck this year. i know who the oc is, i know what he did last year,,, just gotta hope a change will do him good. maybe the new head coach will just let the coaches do their jobs,, i tend to think the former head coach was a really bad micromanager

I think you have to run on them, hammer them, especially across the middle, you need to get some push on their interior DL which IMO is the weakest part of their defense, keep hammering and pounding away and then go to playaction.

True. I'm just ignorant and want to get into a brawl but what you are saying is correct and is what we always did with Alex Smith under center. He would methodically move us down the field with short passes until he set em up for a big gainer to VD or Delanie

Agree with this! He is very clear explaining football and this may bode well for our players. Kaepernick will not have someone afraid to tell him what he's doing wrong or to kick his *ss when he doesn't listen. Might be exactly what the young man needs! I'm usually not impressed by coach speak but really enjoyed listening to him on the radio show.

His discription of the difference between being a coach at the college level and the NFL was refreshing.
After hearing this guy, he might end up being the best hire this offseason.

Yep that's how the Cowgirls beat them up there. And GB had them dead to rights for 57 minutes til they Choked it away.

that's how they've lost every game they've lost the past 2 years. every time we committed to the run we beat them too
Teams just let them off the hook. The panthers were running the ball great against them too and stopped. Green bay too. chargers ran it, chiefs ran it cowboys ran it its the obvious thing to do. if you don't have the elite speed at the wr position which they can't account for, especially with single high safety, then run on them.

green bay had the best combo. they had to respect the outside speed from 3 receivers so they couldn't drop the box like normal. lacy is a big punishing back who was averaging 5 yards a carry, starks averaged 8 yards a carry
but they decided it would be better to throw it.

GB also had 5 TOs. Offensively I was most impressed with DAL SD KC and CAR vs SEA defense.

Those guys didn't do anything but run the ball. Green bay did the same thing but didn't stick with it. Carolina didn't feature benjamin and Olsen enough. but more than anything stewart and williams should have shouldered the load.

Green bay had them in perfect position, trail position. they should have ran those turnovers as far as they could, popped a couple of plays over the middle where they're vulnerable because they can't keep chancellor in the middle with adams/cobb on one side and nelson on the other. all 3 have more speed than the seattle db's
in fact it's what they started to do, their tight end would uncover right in the middle of the field where the zone was vulnerable and they'd get chunk yards but in the end lacy needed to carry the ball 35 times.

think about it, the seahawks were trailing until the very end and lynch still had 25 carries... Lacy and green bay were up and there were long stretches where he wasn't on the field as a coaches decision.

we did it twice last year season and 2 times before that the season before including the championship game.

the runs don't have to work to start. they'll work in the end be patient, stick with it period.

its because the pass rush is light the linebackers are light so they can fly around and cover their zones.
the defense is designed to get the rushers up the field so you don't have time to make a good pass and they capitalize
run at them and have the safeties get involved (especially thomas who is the best safety but also very little size wise)

every time we beat seattle under harbaugh after the 1st season, was because we committed to running the football regardless of who was under center.

1st season ginn saved us and then in the 2nd game i forget what happened
