Just saw that too. Very encouraging

This guy is the most intriguing hire. Hopefully him and chryst get their chemistry and become mad scientists for our offense.

the problem we had vs Seattle was Harbaugh... he would always approach the game to get even with Pete... never did we have a great game plan against Seattle.. it was always personal..

Instead of coming up with HOW TO BEAT SEATTLE, we just didn't do that.. we had players like Patton and Ellington that woulda walked around their LBs had they
been used right w/those crossing patterns, instead, we wanted to attack their DBs by throwing downfield...

Look at the 60 pct of Brady's completion, it was them simply criss cross, picks, outs... and sometimes over the middle.. and also pay attention at this 2 INTs.. that's the
time Brady got greedy...

During the week off, I watched how Luck and Indy beat Seattle, and it was also thru PATIENCE... Luck basically took what Seattle gave him.. and just to keep
them honest, he would throw wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy down field once in a while..

This

Packers were doing something similar too ...

Until they pulled a JH/Roman and tried to run out the clock instead of attacking.

When they resumed attacking - they marched right down the field in short order and kicked a FG to send it into OT.

THIS makes me love this hire even more. I hope the skeptics read up on this guy. He may end up being THE key hire of the staff.
This probably makes me the happiest I've been all offseason.

49ers have so many targets, at TE and WR, I'd love to see the ball get spread around and plays consistently drawn up for a variety of receivers as well as incorporating the RB's into the passing game.

COMPLETELY agree with the bold. Gosh just makes me think that maybe we got the Geep Chryst & Logan hires backwards. He knows his s**t. and may be the perfect asset we need in order to beat Seattle.

No we got it right. Let Chryst deal with play calling and getting the team into a rhythm. It's already been said he's going to be integral in the passing game. More than anything this guy is going to be in Kap's ears drilling him From April 4 until hopefully the year 2022. This is what he's going to be reminded of everyday. The things to look for who to throw it to how to throw it how to use his mobility he might even be told to use a pump fake to get the defense off balance.

This to go with the guys as the position coaches actually coaching up the other positions, especially the tight ends..meaning we might actually get to use vd and macdonald in true double tight end red zone sets..

look at what logan plans to do

Oscar @BetterRivals · 23h 23 hours ago Logan mentioned two things he'll teach his QB to do to defeat an unblocked DE on a naked boot: backpedal pass and pump fake sidearm pass.

@jomolungma He mentions that it's the QBs responsibility to beat the DE with a hot throw or his mobility. Logan likes mobile QBs.

Oscar @BetterRivals · 23h 23 hours ago

Two TE route. End unblocked. QB on a naked boot.

Oscar @BetterRivals · 23h 23 hours ago

The first play in Steve Logan's play action coaching DVD? The zone dive fake w/ naked boot. Basically Seattle's fav play action pass #49ers
Oscar @BetterRivals · Feb 9 "You can't throw the ball if you're on your back." -Steve Logan LOL. He's like the anti-Martz

Oscar @BetterRivals · Feb 9 When he mentioned needing to get the ball 6" in front of the numbers for a FB to cradle the ball I thought the same thing @NFLguy07840

I think it moved a little bit.

I truly believe he can be to Kap what Shanahan was to Young

Except Logan gets to spend every waking moment with CK and have no other distractions.

He appears to be a very good communicator and I like the passion he brings to something as basic as a whiteboard session. I hope he, Kap, and Geep can get along to improve the passing game and all its parts. It's nice that Logan is saying some good things, but it doesn't mean anything if Geep has his own ideas.

Supposedly Logan is going to help with the passing game.
Kap is one of the most teachable players in the league. If he tells him to do something he will do it.
