Lets face it, our fanbase will never be loud. I got yelled at at candlestick for standing up. Its pathetic, and its the atmosphere that Jed created. Thank you Jed you POS.

lol. good point there, before Jed took over, we had probably the loudest fan base in the nfl. blame him and of course Obama.

I don't question the passion or knowledge of the fans on this website who attend (or don't attend) 49er games, but I also don't believe -- because I see/hear it so much -- that the bulk of the fans/crowds going to 49ers games know enough to get loud when the 49ers are on defense and to be quiet when the QB is calling the play on offense. It's like many fans are just at the games for the "status" of being there as opposed for their passion for the 49ers.

Jed just needs to realize more noise = more wins = more money. He can set up promotions and what not to encourage fan noise. They can add graphics to the screen to let the nerds know when and when not to cheer. Our biggest rival has the loudest stadium and our fans can be encouraged to beat them at their game.

All this would increase wins and increase revenue. Our fanbase wasn't very loud to begin with AND Jed thought it would be a good idea to distract and already tepid fanbase with technology and lounges and sushi. Jed was an idiot.

The #1 priority for the stadium should have been to make it loud as possible. I think we can fix this issue but we need to flood Jed with emails and tweets and whatever to tell him to do the obvious things required to get our fans off their asses. It might cost him some coin up front, but in the long run it'll make him money.
Take some baby steps, start out with a simple chant when the opponent has the ball, like this:

LOLOL. So does going to a club or a concert. Or out of personal experience, so does Seattle games at the Clink. I used to bring a cow bell to the Sick until they caught up to me
Bottom line is players can't use PED'S and us fans can't have artificial noise makers, is what was explained to me. I GUESS I understand

When half time is winding down all the TV's by the concession stands all around the stadium should blink the words GO BACK TO YOUR SEATS NOW!!! Fans at the game will get involved and start giving the tech yuppies guff for not going to their seats right away. WHY ARE THEY EVEN LEAVING THEIR SEATS!?!? They can have food delivered to them for God sakes!!!! Real fans need to start patrolling this at the games. Get involved and inform the yuppie fans in a calm way that they need to get back to their seats ASAP!!!

Also don't have a killer half time show with star musical guests or contests. People sit in their seats for that then leave during the 3Q for the game. Sounds stupid but it's a reality.

Fix the sun and some of the noise problem in one swoop. Build an overhang over the stadium that shades the fans AND has the noise travel back down to the field.

Give prizes away for loudest section. A contest of some sort. Or have a celebrity like Terry Crews or an old niner like Ronnie Lott talk smack to the fans on the jumbo ton about not being loud enough and to start yelling.

I love the GOLD MINE cheap seats idea but not sure how that would work with the already psl's.

And also having so much internet access is a bad thing. Gives more people more reason to tune out to their surroundings. Just like going to a restaurant, etc.

This is embarrassing that we have to have a thread like this

DEFINITELY embarrassing. But I have to disagree with almost all your suggestions. The gimmicks won't work because there is no soul behind them. It wasn't named the Black Hole and then people filled it. It was full of people then it got its name. Nicknames are earned and given not chosen.

that's the truth about nicknames...there given....or else dudes be walking around saying they call me night wolf or steel thunder
Unfortunately our fan bases is currently named weak sauce
Get rid of Jed and his trust fund posse from the front rows.
it comes down to the fans and their willingness to be loud. in seattle the stadium is designed to hold in the noise but it dont mean s**t if you're not making any noise. a lot of the fans attending the games, for whatever reason, just arent willing to.
I'm telling you guys, I worked at the Stadium this past year and was pretty disgusted by the crowd because I was used to Candlestick games (which weren't even THAT loud)

The lack of crowd noise is due to a few reasons:

-This stadium is full of new s**t to check out, like the museum, new food, stores, all that non-football game related stuff. Seems like there are too many people coming to the games who are not actually 49er fans.
-Which could be because of the new ticket prices that are through the roof.
-Higher ticket prices, more rich people coming to the games. We are no longer getting that San Francisco population, but a larger amount of people from Santa Clara

Lots of tourists too... I think I will continue to work only until the SuperBowl happens at Levi's Stadium just to experience that. I hope it improves...but the lack of an electric football experience at the home of my beloved 49ers is a bit sickening
i think that is a fantastic idea, we need more people like you in the 49ers ORG. I think it is the stadiums fault for not creating a hyped up environment. The fog horn and 1st down chant was a good one we need more.

You partly have a point. There are a lot of people at the games that aren't die hard fans, they are there because they've been given the opportunity to check out a game. Too many rich people? Come on, rich has nothing to do with passion.

Bottom line, the 49ers have built a new stadium and it's their responsibility to continue to find ways to get people to be loud. One of the guys on this stream had a great idea. Have the video guys film some of our legends gritting their teeth telling the crowd to get loud. Guys like Ronnie Lott, Eric Davis, Fred Dean, Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, Steve Young, Bryant Young, Manu Tuiasosopo, Rathman..... Put some game day face paint on them and video them saying, " get loud ", and then play that on the jumbo tron. Great idea.

Levi's is more of a theme park for the wealthy, rather than a football stadium.
