Theyre illegal in the NFL

Awesome idea. Didn't know they were illegal in the NFL. However, the sound cup wouldn't be..... And while it would be difficult to get the masses to buy a vuvuzela, it wouldn't be difficult to get them to buy a drink cup.

Who will go through the trouble of buying a drink cup and then carving out the bottom? Not many people will do that.
What a great idea, though the nfl would probably make illegal. Jus keep it up hopefully it'll catch on if I went to the game I certainly would do it

You wouldn't carve it out, it would be perforated......
I just think this season there was a weird dynamic going on. You had an under performing team due to injury/turmoil and a new stadium where I sure some took time to check the place out. I think it will take sometime but that crowd will get loud.

How will it hold liquid if it has perforation holes in the bottom of it?

Ok,
we had a full year to assess the "home field" at Levi this year. I am still baffled by the fact that you can't get a hot link at the stadium. I'll save that rant for another post.
This rant is about the Noise level of the home crowd at the stadium. It was sub par, it was embarrassing. You know it and I know it. THE 49ERS front office and the players on the field know it. Instead of complaining about it, I've decided to put on my marketing hat in attempts to help the team solve the issue.

I sit in section 109. My fellow fans in that section must dislike me. I am constantly turning around in attempts to get fans involved in the game from a noise perspective. I chastise fans for being too " wine and cheese". Right around the 3rd game, I took my 20 oz. empty soda cup, I took my car key and I carved the bottom part of the cup out. For the rest of the game, I used that as a sound cone to yell through. Fast forward to the Charger game. I took a look around during the 2nd quarter and noticed 7 people in my section "borrowed" my sound cone idea. My son is the one that pointed it out. He said, " dad, they stole your idea ". The lightbulb went off.....

My idea is for the 49ers to sell a cup with a bit more of a cone shape than the existing cup. The bottom should be perforated, with two little pop out handles on it.
( Like coffee cup handles ) . On the side of the cup on both sides in big letters, it should read, "NINER NOISE". This way, when the sound video personnel need more noise, then can illustrate someone on the large video screen yelling through the cone. And they can call out for NINER NOISE to urge the crowd on.

Too many benefits to list.
1. Gets the crowd more involved in having fun and supporting the team.
2. Helps sell more soda. ( Jed will love this )
3.Could potentially be free if they allow a corporate sponsor added to the Noise cone.

Feedback?
You'd better watch out. Winthorpe and Humphrey don't like their tea time interrupted. Take it from someone that was escorted out of the Stick for that very reason a few times. Not s***face drunk, not cussing, and USUALLY not calling them out on their apathy. But simply being too loud while sitting behind them

Good luck with the cup thing. It won't be long until they ban that anyway. It's a "noise maker" you see
I think what the stadium needs is some cheep seat area. This is where the rowdy people go and there noise spreads. The Cards have the RED ZONE, raiders have the BLACK HOLE, Seattle has the area on the north side ( i do not know if it has a name), and so on. The team needs to develop a section/area to be where the rowdy fans should go and their enthusiasm will build of each other and spread to the rest of the stadium.

So I think we need an area called something like "The mine" or "The Gold Mine".

I think this well also help with the "not safe for family" stigma. The rowdy people know where to go to be with rowdy people and not next to the 10 yr olds. Families know where not to bring young children. People that are coming in behind enemy lines know what they are getting in to if they sit there.

Get loud how the Stick got loud? So loud only during playoff games and even then only on 3rd and short. Great.
I think we should just join the crowd. So let's wait until we're on offense to start a baseball chant. "Let's go Niners! Clap clap clap clap clap". And shutup on defense dam it, I'm trying to hold a conversation here!

I may have offended some with this shirt I had printed up. I gave two of them away to other guys in our section that actually make noise. For the most part, people got a kick out of it. Had a half a dozen people take pictures of it : )

They can call it the SHAFT ......which the are giving the fans anyways
How about we start by putting a winning product on the field first? Secondly I could care less about the noise, a good football team will win games with or without noise.

Awesome idea..... This is the type of feedback that the Niners need....
