If we got shanny, I wonder if he would be half as good as he was 20 yrs ago. He may be too old for the new pass and blast NFL.

I think the 49ers want to get 2nd interviews with Gase and Bowles before making any decisions. They definitely have a strong liking towards an offensive minded coach and if the 49ers did hire a defensive coordinator over Fangio, he would most likely leave town for another gig. Fangio is really important to the team and they probably dont want to risk losing him. I think bowles will definitely be considered but it has to be either, Gase or Fangio.

He's a year younger than Pete Carroll. I wouldn't worry about his age.
