According to YAHOO, Gary Kubiak to be named coach of the Broncos...

I went to get the link and it's gone...WTF?

Are you sure you read that right? That can't happen..They didn;t even comply with the Rooney Rule yet.

It is weird I saw it too....the headline is there, but the link is busted. It looks like someone jumped the gun, but you have wonder if there where there is smoke, is there fire?

The #49ers have been preparing for possibility they lose DC Vic Fangio. They talked in HC interviews about defensive coaches, I'm told.

Maybe he will stay.

Upgrade!

Fangio is old-school so naturally, he wants his way and if not, he wanted an older guy so it doesn't paint a bulls-eye on him for staying. That said, if he's a true team guy, he knows this could be a wonderful marriage for everyone and could cement his legacy. He has a sweet deal here and it could even get sweeter if he plays his cards right.
Fangio would be smart to stay with Gase he would still have full control of the defense

Not sure where these 'salary cap hell' posts are coming from. The two sites I use for salary cap stuff say that Denver is $20-30 million under the cap for next season.

Total Cap Number: $115,321,332 already committed for 2015. This is before any FA:

Unrestricted:
Demaryius Thomas, wide receiver
Wes Welker, wide receiver
Jacob Tamme, tight end
Terrance Knighton, defensive tackle
Rahim Moore, safety
Orlando Franklin, guard/tackle
Nate Irving, linebacker
Quinton Carter, safety
Virgil Green, tight end
Julius Thomas, tight end
Will Montgomery, center
Mitch Unrein, defensive tackle

Restricted:
Tony Carter, cornerback
Brandon Marshall, linebacker
Steven Johnson, linebacker
Aaron Brewer, long snapper
Paul Cornick, tackle

Like I said big list and expensive.

I guess we will see what type of "recruiter", Gase is.

Doubtful. They haven't complied with Rooney Rule.

Big names there, they had the money cap wise, to keep some of them. Must be next year that they are in trouble, Ward, Ware, Manning deals escalating.
The only real opening for Fangio right now is DC of the Cards BUT him and Arians know each other and have worked with each other before so its a legit possibility that Fangio wont be back. Hopefully we promote Donatell to DC at that point

We should go after Terrance Knighton
