The o-line play is what contributed to Kap being the most sacked QB in the league this year. And as much as I hate to say this, Gore isn't what he used to be, and it's also hurt the run game. Some of it's Oline and some of its on Kaep. Sometimes Kaep stares down the rush instead of keeping his eyes down field.

lol. Honestly, Roman seems like a yes-man to me. He'd take it and love it. His NFL career is tied to Harbaugh.

Going back to the Cowboys, they did exactly that with Callahan who is waaaaaay more qualified and credible than Roman. He went from the OC to run-game coordinator, they brought in Linehan to coordinate the passing offense and they greatly improved. Callahan probably didn't like it, but you can't argue with the results.

I think we could pull off a similar move. It's been well documented that Roman is an offensive line/ run game guy, and he has some ability to draw up creative run designs. Let him concentrate on that.

We all see that, but do you have a hypothesis regarding the tension?

My hypothesis is that Baalke wanted Harbaugh to send Roman packing the minute Dahl was signed and he learned the depth of the playcalling / offensive issues from the horses mouth.

Maybe you have a different theory.

Real good call on what the Cowboys did w/Callahan.

BUT as far as the rest of the hypothetical keeping JH & demoting Roman - IMO, that's just pissin' in the wind and it's time to move on.

Yeah, in all likelihood you're right. I still have a small sliver of hope Harbaugh is retained and we fix the offense for next year, but I'm well prepared for what is likely to be a sad breakup.

In order for Harbaugh to fix this offense he first has to be able to admit that his philosophy is not working. Won't happen. No way.
If he won't fix it he has to go. I don't know about you guys but personally I can't take another year of this sh**.

if you chart the offensive performance since 2012 it's basically an unchanging constant slope down. we are pretty close to worst in the league now. harbs has not been able to do anything to make it better. thats just not very good coaching. that's not professional grade.

No. It's like being in a serious relationship and then breaking up and trying to be friends. It just doesn't work. EspecI ally that first time she tells you she's going on a date

Thats why it's so maddening to to see the seahawks change their strategy midseason. The hawks were on the same path we were. It wasn't working and they changed it up. Now they might be the favorites to at least get back to the super bowl. Why couldn't Harbaugh have swallowed his pride and done what was best for the team? He should have stopped the pocket passer experiment and just told Kap to go out and take control. Do what your comfortable doing. We got your back and we will tailor our offense to what you do best. Thats what a great coach would have done.
