Gore deserves it, at least more than Cowboy.

Yes. They will and they should. Frank Gore has earned that honor. A few (arguably) questionable moves aside, the 49ers FO knows enough to do right by Gore in that regard.

I don't see how Gore's #21 should be retired when 33 is very much active...
Justin Smith, as much as great he has been for us, he only belongs to the likes of Charles Haley, Eric Wright, Keena Turner outstanding carreer... but to retire 94 for Justin, sorry, I would have to disagree.. .Plus, 97 (BYoung) must be hang up first before any of the DL we've had..

Smith isnt going to make the 10 year club, which is probably a prerequisite.
I think 21 and 52 are the only real locks right now. Both Gore and Willis have been at the top of their positions for years now, and both considered the leaders of the team on each side of the ball.

Me neither. I think the 49ers should introduce a policy of temporary number retirement, say 10 years...

33% don't think they will? Really?
The dude is the all-time leading rusher in 49ers history, and it's not even close (over Joe Perry, who has had his number retired)

People are probably comparing him to Roger Craig. I actually think Craig's 33 probably should be retired anyways.

Gore definitely deserves it. A career Niner. (Hopefully he retires a Niner). As much as I love Justin Smith and as much of a badass as he is, the first half of his career was played with the Bengals so I think that right there disqualifies him for # retirement. Unless he was to play 5 more years with the Niners which obviously wont happen. BY played his entire career with the Niners which hardly happens anymore for a player these days and he was one of the more solid D linemen in the league throughout his career so he is definitely worthy as well.

Whether he comes back or not he deserves it. Ten+ year guy, team leader, all-time franchise rushing leader. Top 20 all-time in rushing yards and will likely be top 10 after another year or two. If they don't retire #21 they might as well just stop doing it all together.

I personally think you need to be in the HOF first. I think his number gets retired, that's why I bought the Nike elite jersey last year.

How much did that jersey run you? Im just curious. I have a Frank Gore home jersey but it is the reebok one before they switched to the current look. I got an authentic Nike P. Willis home jersey a year ago for Christmas, not sure how much that cost. What is the Nike "elite" jersey exactly?

An "Elite" will cost you $325 after tax and shipping on a retail site. About $320 in a store. I would wait for some kind of sale or coupon code online.
The "Elite" is the exact on-field jersey. Its the highest quality. I have 3, and while the quality is great, they arent a great fit. Theyre cut for pads, so theyre a bit big in the shoulders, and the material is a bit stiff.
The "Limited" is the next step down, and will run you about $175 online, $170 in store. Its all stitched, but the materials arent as quality. But, for about half the price of an Elite, and considering its a lot more comfortable to wear, I think its a good option.
The "Game" is the replica fan version. The least quality, heavy screen printed numbers and letters. Not worth the money IMO. Theyll cost you about $100, but thats a rip for the mediocre quality. Theyre basically for fans who want a jersey, but dont care if its not really accurate.

He should. Especially if he continues to be good at makes the HOF.
We could have given him a good chance with a ring or two. We let him down.

Damn! Im not sure which one my Willis jersey is. Its probably the "limited" because it does have all stitched numbers and letters and it looks pretty much like the on-field version the players wear but it fits me really well. I like it.
I did pay almost $300 for a Posey authentic jersey a few months ago but considering the different states of these 2 franchises at the moment, I think I will wait on spending that much on a Niners jersey for now.
Thanks for the info...
