Belichick whose name you spelled incorrectly while calling me ignorant acts like an a-hole toward the media also. So somebody who doesn't share your opinion is ignorant? A lot of fans want to know what is going on behind the scenes and player interviews give them that. That is the media's job. Last I checked without fans there is no NFL and these players would not have jobs. It is comical how people defend players and coaches like they know them and are relatives or friends. I am pretty sure half or more of them would not bother to pee on you if you were on fire.

Jim and Kaep answer the questions that are asked of them, rather it be with one word or one thousand... they answer the question. We all know the media can be pushy and obnoxious, so let's not act like they are saints. I've seen Jim do plenty of presser where he has given detailed responses to questions, so don't act like his normal routine is to be a hard ass. Like I said, the way Jim and Kaep handle the media is equal with the treatment they get with most NFL teams.

You obviously admire Kap for being the way he is, I don't. If you didn't admire him I don't think you would resort to name calling and insults just because I don't approve of the way he acts. No one is forcing him to take money to wear head phones that is his choice. I look at it as being disrespectful and rude to wear them to an interview. I haven't seen one other QB who has his combination of dress and demeanor. Not liking how he appears and acts has nothing to do with my age. I thought Joe Nammath was a fool for wearing fir coats and doing nylon commercials when I was in grade school. I thought fir coats are for ladies then as I do now. A lot of my opinions on how players should act on or off the field hasn't changed in the 45 years I have been a football fan.

I totally understand...BUT i thought we were discussing how his articles are purely conjecture and you claimed they were not and for me to point out where he was presenting opinion as fact or twisting words? I have zero problems with people having opinions or opinion pieces...but that is not what this is supposed to be...these are articles he puts out in the Mercury News in which he is supposed to be reporting actual news with facts...that is my point of contention. It's all good. i've enjoyed our back and forth...helped pass the time on these conference calls.

Ah, good old John Herrera. If there's any sort of unity for both 49ers and Raiders, it's definitely a disdain for Kawakami.

I don't get some of these pundits. You talk s**t about someone literally 24/7 despite them being the most successful coach the 49ers have had in quite some time AND the best W-L record in the NFL since he's come to town and then act surprised when they don't fall over themselves to give you a scoop.

I dont think I like this new breed of journalism where people feel entitled to print whatever drivel comes to mind (in the name of the "free press" of course) but don't want to deal with the consequences of doing so.

Yep, the one thing both our clubs can agree on, Kawakami is a HACK. Along with Ann Gilligan.

i realize that we all the niners here on the webzone, but in reality, KAEP IS A TERRIBLE QB.... everyone has made excuse after excuse defending him constantly with, our line is garbage, or kaep hasnt got enough time in the pocket, etc.... kaep does.not, i repeat does not go through his reads properly .. he isnt worth 5 million dollars per year... with all the weapons we have, we should be destroying teams with our offense..... we had alot of good fortune running the ball, but when kaep throws, he is just terrible..... alex smith wasnt the qb peoole wanted and i loved kaep too when he came out, but just think if we put smith in the superbowl in the 2nd half, we will never know... i know smith isnt the answer either, so bottom line, i think we are in a better position to rebuild this offense in the off season... kaep isnt a good qb, we need to draft someone better... our defense has held us in games all year and to be honest with you, i dont think we will have a winning record at the end of the year... if in wrong and kaep turns it around, then i will admit.it but its starting to get really disgusting watching our offense with kaep.... roman was our coordinator with smith and he did just fine... remeber when smith had a stud wr? i dont remeber the wrs name but i know he drove an orange lamborginni, lmbo.... he had 300 yards in two game with smith, could u imagine if smith had this group of wrs? but anyway, im just ranting, sorry if i offend anyone with this.post but im frustrated and tired of seeing us lose..... Yup best starting record ever for a HC yet he is still on his way out the door. There is no one to blame on his and Kaeps situation except themselves. Virtually every 9er fan I talk to outside the koolaid drinkers on the WZ are tired of both of them. And it's not because of their performance (or lack there of lately) on the field.
