Total BS.

Kawakami is interesting in one thing and one thing alone.

Attention.

Has nothing to do with journalism. The guy takes the tiniest shreds of truth and writes a fairy tale. When people tell him he's wrong or that he's writing a fairy tale, he gets annoyed and calls people stupid on Twitter. When Kap responds to people on Twitter he calls him unprofessional and then when people cal Kawakami out on it he does precisely what he accuses Kap of.

Then he sits back and acts surprised when the fans can't stand him.

I don't have a problem with having a negative take on the team. I just ask that when you write something, make it worth reading and not just a vanity project designed to do nothing but get mouse clicks.

So everybody wants to tar and feather a guy who rips into the team, even if they have it coming? Kap and Harbaugh are jackasses to the media and both seem to act like they are above everyone else. A lot of franchises would not tolerate Kaepernick going in front of the media dressed and acting like he does, especially those headphones. Most of you take it so personal like you are defending family members, makes no sense to me.

Dude you sound very ignorant. A. Jim and Kap don't handle the media any different than Bellicheck and Brady or Marshawn Lynch. Some guys just don't fool with the media while others can't wait to get a mic in their face and say something dumb. Of all the things in the world to worry about how Kap handles the media is the last thing Im worried about. Im sure if you were getting bashed by someone you would be reluctant to answer any questions they have for you. B. Kap gets paid to where those headphones, and even if he didn't he has every right to wear them. They are just a set of headphones, most players in the nfl wear them before and after games. As far as the way he dresses, I dont see any issue with it. Kap is one of the best dressed players in the NFL. Get a life bro. It seems as if your bashing him for being young, more so than anything else. Get out the stone ages.

Got to partially disagree with you 24plus. Kap IS rude to the media. I think JH is actually better with them this year. Kap though, I gotta admit, I cringe at his interviews. He's not as bad as Lynch, but seems to be trying to give him a run for his money with the attitude and monosyllabic responses.

He interviews just like he plays -- one read pre-determined approach. Maybe if he tried to navigate through the questions and come up with an original thought/expression he might just jump start the right nerve cells in his brain that will enable him to do the same thing on the field.

Exactly...he is nothing more than a skip bayless wannabe. It's all about attention, tension and forcing "his" angles.

I've lived in many other cities over my life (LA, Chicago, DC, and Pittsburgh). And nowhere have I seen such a negative/adversarial relationship between a sports franchise and the local media.

In LA, you have a few characters (TJ Simers comes to mind) who like to antagonize certain players....but most of the local media knows that their level of access is subject to good behavior.

Everywhere else....if you're a sportswriter, you're a homer.
The people I hear complaining the most about these lame pressers are the media ... Kamakazi, Ratto, etc. It makes sense that they would be peeved, but I think most of the rest of us would be happy if they just cancelled the damn things. Particularly the ones right after the game. The people that have their panties in a wad are the media hacks. Am I wrong here?

And by the way ... you are just done with Kawakami now? I have not read a single thing he has written in years. And I cringe every time I see his lazy eye on the TV.
Tim is trash but he does fire a lot of truth bombs in that piece, which for the record I wouldn't had even seen unless the OP gave it some exposure on here ...

For those who don't know 190836 is Lowell Cohn, so its no surprise he's defending TK.

TK is similar to Cohn, a sportswriter, used to reporting stuff like yards gained, scores, passes completed.

When they have to actually think about something a little more complicated, (i.e. why Aldon Smith entered a "plea to the sheet" for three felonies--which eventually turned into three misdemeanors) they're way out of their league, have no clue what they're talking about, and don't bother to actually do any research to educate themselves before they start spouting their "opinions". TK led the charge, condemning Aldon after he entered his plea, and asked Harbs "how many felonies are too many." Harbs turned it around on him and pointed out what a stupid question it was. TK got his undies in a bunch about it. Cohn, Killion and the other media types were angered by Harbs' response and haven't forgiven him or the 9ers since.

Is it too much to ask that a reporter actually educate themselves about a subject before publishing a story condemning a player? Turns out Aldon doesn't have ANY felonies on his record, just misdemeanors, as anyone familiar with the criminal justice system could have told TK at the time of Aldon's plea. But he didn't know what a "plea to the sheet" meant and took off on his campaign to criticize, castigate and condemn Aldon as a multiple time convicted felon. Used to be that lynch mobs were led by people thinking in that manner. Now its just a media mob (TK, Killion, Cohn, Kozimore, etc.) Sad. You can practically hear them panting in anticipation of Harbaugh going elsewhere.

190836 is really L.cohn? If so that explains his responses.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion, but this is not journalism IMO. He is not reporting anything...except for writing snide pieces that are purely conjecture. there is nothing neutral about anything he writes...he clearly has an angle with what he churns out. I am not saying i disagree with everything he speculates on, but it's hard to take a guy seriously or like a guy that seems so clearly biased in what he writes.

Lol, you are funny. Just because I posted LC or TK's reports a few times, doesn't make me LC. Grow up.

Big difference between having the balls to ask tough questions and trying to goad people with smarmy questions and pieces. I have no problem with guys asking the tough questions...i just don't get that with him. He seems more intersted in trying to get under people's skin...a lot like the character in Any Given Sunday who was supposed to be the Jim Rome esque character.

He always denies it, but has a lengthy history of posting L. Cohn's articles here in NT for others to read, and has extensively and repeatedly defended L. Cohn.

So much promotion is hard to explain as anything but SELF promotion.

Right, Lowell?

As I said before, reporters like TK,LC and LC junior do alienate some of the fans. Can you explain to me how/when did TK lie, twist or change the news that wasn't the truth. Give me one example. Be precise please.
I am not defending TK, it's his job to question and report the news. Some of us just want to hear what we want to hear.

I dont' need to be precise nor am i going to go back to pull the article(s)...it's all right there in his piece(s)...please reference his York/Baalke article from earlier this week...the title of the article says it all. 99% of what he writes is conjecture and what he believes to be true.
