Do you believe Colin Kaepernick is the answer at QB?

Brought the Niners to a Super bowl after years of perjatory.

Has made the team fun to watch.

Just signed a long term extension.

Like I said he IS the answer for the 9ers, get on the train or get left behind.

Don't worry. If the Niners start winning a lot of games and Kaepernick ends up being an elite QB in the league, they'll be on the train and most of them will pretend they've been passengers all along.

Has anyone commented yet on Kaepernick's flawed mechanics. When he throws, he doesn't looked polished at all

That's just your TV, bruh..

just smack it at the top left on every dropback, and it should fix the issue.

His delivery has been discussed repeatedly. He has a baseball pitcher's delivery, much like John Elway had. And regardless of how he looks to you or anyone else, he's currently rated very high in accuracy and he has one of the strongest arms in the league. Harbaugh has said in interviews that he doesn't like to mess with a QB's delivery if that player is comfortable with the way he throws.

Palmer wouldn't be a deer in headlights under pressure. Most NFL offensive lines are beaten up and rotating lineups, it's the job of the Quarterback to adapt. It's probably different if you played in the WAC conference.

Reference Point. Both Quarterbacks faced California their Senior Years

Palmer attempted 39 passes (Scoring 30)
Kaepernick attempted 15 passes (Scoring 52)

Palmer has already missed three games this year...not sure what playing Cal has to do with anything...weird reference. I would agree that Kaepernick causes many of his sacks due to holding onto the ball. Palmer has no upside and I don't see him as a super bowl QB.

This is so true...was thinking about that as I read so many "new" posters finding the dark of the day.

We're talking about the issues on the field. Sure there are a few people who are lame and bothered by his tattoos or personality but the level of play at the position has been very inconsistent and the 49ers will most likely miss the playoffs now because of the Bears game and the Rams game. Kap made a series of bad throws and mistakes in both games and our passing game in general is not good. Not because of his tattoos or personality but in part because of the clutch mistakes at the QB position. If you read his draft report all of those issues are, unfortunately, lingering to such a level that these issues have been 1/3 of the reason our passing game is struggling.

We haven't been fun to watch honestly.

uh....I'm on your side and all, but Alex Smith was the QB in 2011.

Personality doesn't have much to do with his tattoos, if anything. I'll bet at least half the players on the team have tattoos. It's the morose, whiny, mannerisms and the tough guy posing. For me at least. Not sure how that goes over in the locker room, but I'd think if other players didn't buy in, there is a problem. Did anyone see the tweet of Kap giving the interview (recently) in a hoody, with Patton going all Mike Tyson next to him (as his bodyguard presumably) in an identical hoody? That kind of stuff is just ridiculous. 1980s rap video material.

I don't think Kap played a snap in the regular season the year of the infamous Kyle Williams play.

Edit: My mistake. How could i forget the rediculous pistol calls where we took our starting QB out of the flow of the game and inserted our backup. That was awesome...

Cracks me up that peeps are just all over Kap as if he's the issue. LOL.

He gets sacked 8 times yet still posts a QB rating of 97.7 and almost pulled out the win yet somehow and HE's the problem. Yup...not a great throw to Crab. Also not good blocking the 8 times he was sacked and the numerous others he was pressured.

It's so LAZY to put all the blame on the QB. He's an easy scapegoat. It's just that simple.

Really makes me sick of this place sometimes.

He did...he threw the pass on the play that Josh Morgan broke his leg.

I think that blowout may have been his only appearance tho.

Hes definitely not THE problem. But he is the face of the offense. He is captain of the ship. Right or wrong, the blame falls on his shoulders for how the offense performs on sunday.

BS.

That's the way the lazy media and fans think. This is a forum where we go into detail and not go the route of a lazy media looking for an easy scapegoat.

Lazy thinking is expected, but that doesn't mean there is any reality to it.

Thank you! You're so right. Lazy thinking, jumping to conclusions, confirmation bias, social bias, underestimating the complexity of the game and the situation - it's all on display.
Kaep isn't awful, and his flaws just may be fixable...

but the people in here constantly whining about other posters? instead of simply staying on topic of what these other posters are discussing?

That is where the true problem is. Keep it about the topic, as is the way the WZ is meant to operate.

I know.. irony, right?

Well, yes indeed. I have been there, and on the flip-side of it. Lessens learned.. finally!... over time.

Now.. your turn.
