Damn right we're stuck with Kaepernick. Keep it that way.

Joe Montana couldn't operate behind our offensive line and poor play calling. Our O line has been the weak link for a long time. We'll fix this. We've argued this point but the game STILL has not slowed down for Kaepernick. But the only way he'll ever succeed is behind a decent line because he doesn't do well under pressure. Give him some time and he'll be a good QB.

It takes multiple off-seasons to rebuild an offensive line. At that point the ridiculous amount of offensive weapons decreases and who knows about the Defense.

IMO Harbaugh or Kaepernick. One of them must go this off-season

Harbaugh or Kap must go?

LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOO.......

Kap???????

When you FUTZ around for 3 years and get nothing done there is a problem. Sooner or later you have a year where everybody is injured or suspended. Like this year. Now it's year 4 in a row and we aren't likely to accomplish much. So almost a half decade wasted I think.
Three consecutive years of blowing it will catch up at some point. Philly got a 4th year of playing bridesmaid in the early 2000s, but things aren't looking good for us.

Yeah. We had our chances to win a SB. Can't stay good forever. Hopefully we can get a competent offensive mind in the building and be okay next year.

Just thinking ahead. Don't think Harbaugh and Co. will be around if they don't make the playoffs this year.

Don't know of any other realistic options. Doubt Jed goes college. God forbid someone like Rex Ryan gets a shot here. That leaves us with viable options like Cowher, Gruden.

Or Holmgren or SHanahan.

I think a few here were pointing out over the summer that our ogre like offensive line does not work well with a West Coast scheme. Not that we run a true Walsh style WC offense, but I'd prefer nimble footed athletic linemen over these guys who can't pass block to save their lives.
So we play like the raiders and think like them now too?

Last I checked,there is a thing called a wildcard.

Just because we lost doesn't make us losers.

Seattle looks worse than us IMO.Guess who they lost to last week?... We play the Hawks twice,Saints next week, and the Raiders lol.

I am ashamed of you zoners.

Bump this thread when we get into the playoffs. Let's go.

If we play next week against the Saints like we did today against the Rams....no way. If we drop the Saints game....a slight chance isn't even an option.

I'm at a loss for words. From 1 to 10 on the excruciatingly painful loss scale.. This one is a 15..

For me, it's a 25,000, but that might be due to my sore neck
I think the niners are just having a bit of a down year, happens to the best of teams. They'll probably finish with a winning record but with the Cards beating everyone it's looking more and more likely that they miss the postseason. I have no doubt next year will be much better, years like this just happen sometimes for a variety of reasons - injuries, coaching, bad luck, etc. I think the loss of Drevno is a huge reason the offense is really struggling, as Solari is basically hot doodoo. Good thing the Giants won the WS so that the niners kind of sucking doesn't sting as bad as it would've had they lost, at least for me. And it's not totally out of the realm of possibility that they turn it around and start playing their best football, make the playoffs and finally get that elusive SB win.

I agree, although you are not living up to your username.

I was at the game...that second to last play where Bruce Miller lined up as a lead blocker for Gore was truly one of the worst play calls I have ever seen. You're on the goal line and you try to pass it through the back of the end zone for a TD? Are they constantly trying to recreate our Superbowl and NFC Championship fail? Gore could have jogged into the end zone. Instead, Chokernick couldn't even hang onto the ball long enough to dive one yard in. I was speechless, couldn't figure out what the hell was going on. Mentally, I'm exhausted trying to follow this team. Chokernick has the physical talents, but his decision-making and general sense of football leaves a lot to be desired.

With Arizona and Seattle's victories combined with this loss to St. Louis, reaching the playoffs is a long shot. We're 4-4 and have to get ahead of the Seahawks, Packers and Cowboys/Eagles in order to get a wild card birth. I really think we will have to sweep Seattle and beat Arizona to make it to the playoffs.

We still have to beat the Saints, Giants, and the Chargers to. Hell the Raider game might be close the way the niners have been playing.

No doubt, if the niners lose to the Saints and the Hawks/Cards win their games, the playoff picture for the niners is about closed.
