yup it's clear as day. he doesn't like him at all but there's nothing he can do about it. kap played almost flawless football and had a lot of drops or his percentage would've been even better

I really think this was a team win and one of the Niners more complete wins. Austin Davis looks to be a very good QB, and perhaps a better QB than Bradford. The Niners should be proud of how well the defense played and how well Kap played.

On first impression, Kap seemed to really show some growth this game. He climbed the pocket, looked off the safeties and went through his progressions. He made the right adjustments, scrambled when he needed to and looked down the field while doing so. It was one of the better games I've seen him play.

The running game was lackluster, but that's likely the product of the Rams loading the box and Kap/coaching staff checking to the right plays. It's an example of the Niners players/coaching staff recognizing what the other team is doing and exploiting that.

The last point I'd like to make is about the defense. The Niners are almost playing their second string defense at this point. And that second string defense is playing extremely well. It would not surprise me in the least if each backup on this Niners defense could start on another team, they're playing that well. It was truly an impressive performance and something I think the Niners really, really need to be proud of.

Thanks, JoeBart

This. Not sure where VD's head was at but it didn't seem like he was in the game.

The problem is we couldn't run the ball all game. Yet that is what they tried to do multiple times. Running into a brick wall time and time again is not smart.

Thank you, not sure why its so hard to grasp.

The 49ers offense is predicated on the run but when the other team is doing everything possible and selling out to stop the run, you don't run into a brick wall, you pass the ball until they adjust. Conversely if a defense is playing prevent and has defensive backs deep, you don't challenge them deep, you beat them in the intermediary areas.

The Rams dared the 49ers to pass all game long and for the most part, they did a good job of taking what the defense was giving and attacking their weaknesses but then in the 4th they decided to go have a case of the stupids.

If they want to run into a brick wall on occasion during the game just to keep them balanced a bit thats fine. now if you want to run into a brick wall on 3rd/4th and 1 or on the goal line thats not fine with me.
Where Ram fans at. Everything they said turned out to be LOL

I am hoping that a full week of practice will get Vernon right.

I don't understand it. The OL isn't getting much push, Iupati is out, the Rams pass rush has struggled, guys are getting wide open in the passing game, why wouldn't you keep attacking their weakness and what has been working this game, just as much as the run worked last week versus KC.

36 pass attempts---343 yards

30 rush attempts---89 yards (Kaepernick had 37 of those yards on 3 carries)
Epic bad decision making. Yet we come out with a W. If we had lost this harbs would be hitching his way back home.
Seriously some of you guys are a joke. All I hear before the game is "you better run it, don't come out with that pass bull sh*t". Now it "why the hell would they try to run it against the 31st ranked run defense"

GTFOH.

Tough game to watch in many ways. But, you earned the win.

As I said before the game - enjoying Austin D. Been a long time since I have enjoyed a Rams QB. Even w the losses.

Does that put you above or below AZ?

Thanks, nice of you to post that.

Good depth at QB, would take him instead of Gabbert, I wonder if Bradford should be worried.

Record wise, below AZ, but we're better than them!

Gore-2.4 yards per carry, Hyde, 1.3 yards per carry.
I hope Willis and Stevie are ok

like i said many times before one of my biggest beefs with roman is he seems to go away from what is working. the short pass game is working keep doing it, but now he abandons it and goes to the run. the runs working start passing and get a 10 yard loss on a sack. or a drive is moving nicely go for a trick play or a cute play and lose 10 yards and kill the drive. although to be fair our guys are right there willing to help kill the drive with a boneheaded mistake or penalty.

also, to the media or whoever yeah you can be hard on a lot of guys for today but definitely not kap. no reason to hate on him, not far from 4 tds with 0 ints with 2 beautiful tds passes, 343 yards.

yeah i think we need more qb sneaks, too long to set up pulls for 1 yad with a rb 5 yards in the backfield.
