ok,but i have always maintained even in my pre ban form that filled little red boxes is how you measure the worthiness of a poster . the newbys today though do not get all worked up when i say that stuff as compared to those long ago days in the zone . back to topic before english derailed it with talk of little red boxes,, this is a bad idea. when something works stay with it. i also question anyone who said justin had a down year

he talked about it in an interview, said if he ever got too big or too slow to play DE and had to be asked to play NT it would be time for him to retire.

This is the closest thing I have found, but it says nothing about playing nose tackle.

If Smith's skills finally erode before his contract expires, the four-time Pro Bowler said he'll retire early. Last year, Smith, who will turn 34 in September, said he has no desire to end his career as a situational player. On Wednesday, he said nothing's changed.

"I said that. I meant that," Smith said. "I won't be a guy that's around for 10 snaps, 20 snaps. It's either I'm going (to play full-time), or I'm not going. And when it's time to get ... out of here, I'm going. I get a ticket like everybody else, so that's what I'm doing."

I don't keep year old links around man sorry. I am however, 100000000% certain he said it, the reason I remember is because I also had the thought that one day he may be moved to NT as he got older, then he made that quote.

Hey... gotta throw this back out there. With the injuries at NT could Ray Mac or Cowboy play NT to allow Tank to get on the field too?

Absolutely not and there is far too much panic going on. We will be just fine, not like Willis, J. Smith, A. Smith, Reid, or Brooks went down. We have guys behind Dorsey that could perform well including a training camp surprise in Dial.

We could move them inside to DT, and play a 4-3, but NT is a stretch for those players.
