You're right. Looks like Osgood is back.

I loved the play of our DBs, and yes they made mistakes. but they are world's better than 2 or 3 guys no longer starting, but these guys make me think of concussion alley. Maybe we need to keep 8 of them?

I wanted to keep 11 total (with Morris)...for this EXACT reason. Our CB's ALWAYS get hurt...they just do AND we play a ton of nickle. So, it looks like we were right to want to cut Dahl and James for Morris and Winston (plus all the positive cap implications).

Figured it would work itself out but cutting James saddens me! I had hoped he could develop into a Sproles type back.

Who do they bring in now at RB?

The depth at RB is a little concerning at this moment with just two RBs in Gore and Hyde considering the physical nature of the position. I admit I know nothing about the RB on the PS, Gaskins. You would have to think they'll have three RBs on the 53 this next game and then the FB Miller, right? We have no idea if Ellington could do much coming out of the backfield as a 3rd down back (like Cobb and Harvin)...has he ever done this in college? I would think he still has his hands full learning more and more about the ins-and-outs of being an NFL WR and kick returner.

I doubt it. We very rarely go past our 2nd RB in any normal situation, and in a pinch, we could do jet sweeps with Ellington. I think we go with 2 RBs until Lattimore is healthy and activated.

I think the real question is how long Frank maintains the 'starting' role. Hyde is by far the best challenger Frank has ever had, and his legs are as spry as they used to be. Frank still squeezes through holes better than anyone though
Don't forget that we still got Miller. Theoretically, he could run between the tackles as well if needed.

He's not a great 'dive' FB, but he's an excellent blocker and receiver out of the backfield.
Bring back Ryan Seymour! He was cut by the Browns today. Add him to the PS stat. Also nobody claimed James. Lol

I hope to see Seymour on the practice squad. I liked his versatility to play C/G/T, and he was solid in pre-season. I could see us dropping Fullington from the PS to make room for him

lol James..says a lot about him imo. Young players that have potential usually get snatched up off waivers, especially ones who were chosen high in the draft. LMJ is simply not a good player. Shocked this is the same guy who dominated at Oregon.
