Then it would have been 4th and 2 Seattle.

Ohh ya.. Forgot about that.

Who the hell jumped on the hard count anyway? Of all downs..

Aldon.....

Haha true true. I wonder if they would have taken the field goal instead of going for 4th and 2 in that situation...

I actually don't think they would have run a play on 4th and 7 had the 49ers not jumped offsides. I think they clearly were trying to draw them offsides so they could have a free play and take a shot. And it worked.

I haven't re-watched the game (and won't for a while). However, didn't they send Hauschka on the field after 3rd down and then call a time out to get the offense back out there? Correct me if I'm wrong about the game situation. My memory of that night is clouded by the beer and the rage...

If you notice the loft on that pass then you will see the trajectory would most likely cause the ball to fall to the ground rather than being batted up into the air. Not really so close. It was actually a bit strange to see Seattle receivers were almost given the end zone without contest. The coverage allowed them into the end zone cleanly, almost as if they were expecting an under thrown pass.
Anything that could ever happen, happens in a parallel universe. (Many Worlds Interpretation) In some parallel universes, the 49ers beat the Seahawks last Sunday in the NFC Championship game and then went on to win Super Bowl 48. I honestly believe this

But it gets better, there are some parallel universes where the 49ers won 10 Super Bowls as of January 2014 including Super Bowl 10, Super Bowl 30, Super Bowl 39, Super Bowl 47 and Super Bowl 48. Heck there are universes where the 49ers won every Super Bowl since Super Bowl I

There are parallel universes where the 49ers beat the Seahawks in Seattle earlier this season 62-7. Heck there are even parallel universes where the Seahawks won 3 games COMBINED in 2012 and 2013.

There are some parallel universes where Richard Sherman never played in the nfl and was in prision in 2011 for life.

So who cares about this universe, when there are millions of universes where the 49ers beat the Seahawks last week and won Super Bowl 48

That's pretty much spot-on... Aikman pointed that out about how risky by losing a TO, but obviously paid for them in a big way... it was a free play and the pass rush kind of just stopped; they had nothing to lose at that point.

Yes, much rage.

Interesting...

I care about this universe because I have to share it with the Seahawks bandwagon outside my door. Maybe someday I'll get a job that gets me out of Seattle.

the pass rush didnt kinda stop they gave up when they thought the play was gunna be blown day due to aldon jumping the line. All four pretty much stopped in there tracks.

Rogers had pretty decent coverage on Kearse. But with respect to receivers getting to the end zone, anyone else notice that Baldwin had at least 3 steps on both Whitner and Reid and would have caught the pass himself if Kearse wasn't there; Baldwin actually had to back off when the ball arrived. Both Reid and Whitner are lucky it wasn't their man who caught the bomb otherwise they'd be getting more heat now that's being directed at Rogers (and Aldon).

I didn't notice that. I stabbed my eyes out after that touchdown and didn't catch the replay.

I feel you bro. I'm avoiding football for now. Seahawks trolls must be out full force. I have one co-worker from WA and he's typically pretty obnoxious but he's backed off since the game. I thought I wouldn't hear the end of it. Got it from all the Packers fans at work, though. Haha go figure.

Arrrrr... still not easy to talk about. We must move on...
With respect to this thread title... i still have it recorded on my DVR, but don't know if i'll ever re-watch. What for ... i couldn't even watch the Sound FX on NFL Network last night from the game.

I think I've been able to adjust for now and feel good about our team going forward. I didn't think i would have any interest in watching this Super Bowl but i know it will draw me in --eventually.

The Quest for Six continues ... go Niners!

I'm not so sure about that. Manning's game this year is all about short to medium range passes that he gets out very quickly. And this year, a few times his running game has been shut down and it almost didn't matter. Not only that, but I think that no-huddle thing he does is going to wear the Seahawk defense down - they're big and hard hitting and you tend to see some of their front seven leaning over with hands on knees towards the end of games. And that no-huddle will make it hard for them to make use of their deep D line because it's harder to change players.

I hate to say it but Seattle is going to destroy the Broncos just like we would've. The Broncos won't be able to run the ball, they will become one dimensional and their front 4 will start to tee of off on Peyton, who we know really hates to get hit.

Yeah BUT Here is the real question: can Denver stop Lynch? I would say no and if they can't stop him Peyton gets less touches and sits on the sidelines. I watched the Chargers run all over that defense defense and watched their front pressure him a day. I get that he's Peyton but defense and running the ball wins games. Can Denver do both? We know Seattle can.
