Too bad. He looked promising in pre-season last year. Maybe he'll end up in IR?

good luck to the guy. I'm sure he worked hard. The 49ers have a ton of talent at the WR position this year. It would be tough for him to make the team.

What was the exact injury? It didn't look too bad. He never really had a shot to make the team anyways. Not unless Patton or Ellington were a disaster in TC (which they werent). More than anything he was auditioning for other teams. And in that sense, Yea that sucks since it's his livelihood.

I think the thread should be called the Chuck "Wagon" Jacobs thread. Anyway, this is one of those guys who just seemed to always be making plays in practice and in exhibition games. Tough break for him. Wish him the best.
