Or in 2006... when they lost to the Chiefs 41-0 and the Bears 41-10.

I could go on...

Same, I just remember Jose Cortez and Dennis Erickson.

Didn't the bears put up 35 or 41 points on us at halftime? with rex grossman? the good 'ol days

Whats up with Looney? Snyder is stealin his guard reps.

One more reason I didnt want Snyder. Looney needs those reps to develop. I think he could be really good

I think Looney needs to develop and could be a very good guard or center but if Snyder is playing better than him right now he should play ahead of him. Even though it's a backup spot.

This is a possibility. Looney has his spot on the roster wrapped up. Snyder does not.

Snyder needs reps to prove he should be kept. Hence, Snyder gets the reps.

It is possible.

Or maybe this.

If Snyder can back-up all five line sports, keeping him gives the team some roster flexibility.

He needs to take reps at each of the five positions.

Light-hearted my ass, Harbaugh is doing this to teach the players their opponents opposite positions on the field, so they can 'think' ahead by habit what opposing offenses/defenses might do in their shoes.
I can see what Fangio is doing with the safety position if it really is going to mimic practice...

Preseason game 1, Dahl starts against the opponents first team offense which lasts about 1 drive. The broncos will not leave Manning in there for long.

Preseason game 2, Spillman gets the start and the coaches get about a quarter of film on him going against the opponents 1st team offense.

Preseason game 3, Reid gets the start in the most realistic game of preseason... this will give the coaches the best impression of whether he is ready to start or not as he could get up to a half against the opponents 1st team offense.

Preseason game 4, No one curr...

Now obviously he may rotate safeties within the period the 1st team offense is in there, but it seems to me that they have set up the competition so that Reid will have an extended opportunity to prove himself and to a lesser extent Spillman. Here's hoping Reid impresses

this sounds like a good plan to me!

Its all fun and games until Aldon Smith blows out his knee dropping back with an improper technique

No one is ever wrong on the internet. It's just how much fervor you want to argue the point. For the record, I was partially right.

I know you are kidding but if this happens I will hunt you down and make you listen to a loop of Justin Bieber until your eyes bleed and your brain melts and runs out your ears...
Nice to see Ricardo Lockette finally blow up yesterday. And, Lowell Rose? Wow. Could be a lock down press corner nobody predicted.
^ yeah, Lockette definitely has that size, speed, hops, etc. that many have been wanting on the opposite side of Crabtree (now Boldin). Probably too homerish to believe he can be a stud, but it is still good to hear he is impressing. Sounds like Brock and Daryl Morris are having good camps as well.
At this point, the only development I want to see from the remainder of camp is NO INJURIES !!!! Seems like the 53 man roster should be fairly easy to whittle down now (with a few surprises), but no more injuries. Every day there's news about bad injuries all over the league, c'mon guys, be safe!

There aren't too many opportunities to legitimately win a SB... we've had 2 chances and we probably have 2-3 more before we have to reconfigure the roster.. got to make the most of these!

FWIW, several hawk fans still are worried that Lockette will breakout for us... hard to ignore the measureables, but as Mark Schlereth has said...
