I'm actually hoping Luke Marquardt can be the guy. Snyder is OK but I would prefer a younger guy with more upside.

Marquardt can still fight for an OT job, Synder is our 3rd backup O-lineman. We might keep 9 this year

I wouldnt worry too much about this. He was solid for us, and he played in a terrible situation in AZ. No system, no help, anyone would struggle.

Does anyone else think this might be an alternative option to Goodwin? Didnt Snyder take snaps at center for us a few times?

You could win the SB with Snyder at G. At the very least he is a known commodity. I hope one of the youngsters is better but you just never know until you see them in a game. Snyder is very serviceable.

Besides the measurements below that measure Snyder lack of quality, let me put this in perspective. Chilo Rachal replaced him on the Niners. Now Rachal has replaced Snyder on the Cardinals.

It might help if you actually watched 49ers games and followed the team.

Snyder replaced Rachal as the starting RG in 2011 (not the other way that you state). And he also played for Harbaugh in 2011 when he was the starting RG.
