Damn this is going to be a one hell of a game!!!

Here are my very short list of worries..

1. Falcons big and super fast WRs vs our smaller cornerbacks

2. Falcons running game

Besides that I think the 49ers are going to pull it off! Gonna be a good week in the office!

BACK IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME!!!

1. Falcons mediocre pass rush vs Colin Kaepernick.

2. Falcons aging linebackers vs two RB system.

3. Falcons weak left side vs the Smith Brothers.

Most things even out in this game, but to me it all comes down to 'mentality', and maturity; Atlanta's Mike Smith regime is coming off of an emotional (first) playoff win, roughed up, and without Abraham, if we lose this game I'd be surprised, everything just 'feels' like we're going to the Superbowl this year.

I feel the exact same way! You can bet Mike Nolan is not going to sleep at all this week once he puts on the tape!

Btw, your prognosis for the packers game was on point!

Out of curiosity does anyone know the record of road favorites in the playoffs?

Falcons finally silenced their critics, and I'm proud of them, but the 49ers have worked harder, took on/have beaten tougher opponents to get here. -This is the first time this Mike Smith Squad will be in a Championship game, those guys are not gonna see this game at the level the 49ers will be prepared mentally.

Mike Nolan knows your team..nuff said!

We're two coaching staffs and over half a roster away from Nolan's team. In fact, most of Nolan's team was in Seattle and Cincinatti.

The reasons we'd rather play you on the road VS the Hags at home are...

For one, you guys got outplayed by the Hags today. The Hags had no problem driving the ball on you in the first half. Two stupid decisions in the first half, one by Carroll to go for it and the other by Wilson not throwing it away to end the half, stalled two scoring drives on your door step. Not too mention, the fumble by Skittles; but turnovers happen. Point being, the score at half of 20-0 wasn't indicative of a dominating performance. And we could see in the second half, that when the Hags stopped shooting themselves in the foot on offense, the points eventually came easily.

Secondly, teams built like us give us more issues than teams built like you. Tough and physical defenses like the Rams, Giants, Hags, and Vikings were the ones we struggled with this year while we had no problem handling big offenses with porous defenses (NO, NE, GB x2, DET). So based off our history, and our ability to win on the road, I'd rather see us face a team we are built to beat.

Thirdly, I want no part in playing a team that just overcame a 20 point fourth quarter deficit to win against the one seed on the road. Not too mention, a team and divisional opponent that always plays us tough. On the flip side, I want every bit of a team who gave up a 20 point fourth quarter lead at home to an underdog only to get bailed out by a 50 yard FG in the final seconds. That's sneaking into the next round quietly with your tail between your legs as opposed to busting through the door with an emotional comeback victory.

Fourth, we are a better team than the Hags and can actually play defense on the road. The Hags are a much more physically imposing unit at home than on the road. We're the toughest and most complete team left in the playoffs. We will expose your weaknesses like Seattle did, but not shoot ourselves in the foot because we've been there before. At the same time, your receivers will get some of theirs, but mostly because your team will be playing catch-up and unable to run against our front, which is head and shoulders better than Seattle's.

Enjoy your win today, because it's the last one you'll get this year.

nailed it good post brother
Go 49ers!

And the Falcon`s are not a playoff seasoned team? Guys like you get hurt the worst when the bubble bursts.Good write up though!
dude, all atlanta falcons fans were like this

now you guys are the best team in the world again?

lulz
In all honesty I don't think the Falcons really stand a chance in this game.

I tend to agree. I think ATL shot their collective wad today getting the monkey off their back. I think we'll light them up.

So would we have video in our vaults of Manusky/Nolan installing Nolan's defense and game plans?

I know. Billick said that win proved they are the team to beat in the NFC. Really? They were down and out and managed to pull it off.
