Why not cut him though? Eliminate the distraction completely. Plus they wouldn't have to deal with his appeal.

I don't see how he can have a positive impact on the team going forward. Just get rid of him.

The positive impact is from his not being able to go elsewhere. If we cut him he would be a really cheap way for some team that'll face us in the playoffs to get an insiders/behind the scenes look at the film they are watching on us.

This is a good move, I hope it holds up under appeal.
