This! Crabtree, all throughout college excelled in a spread with 2 or 3 WR's clearing out space for him...this is where he is lethal. Add to the aforementioned lineup a Hunter/LMJ and f*getaboutit. Or even Gore back there with the threat of an inside run or swing pass cleared out with Manningham/Moss and Crabtree blocking underneath. Like it...

He does look much quicker, especially when he changes direction and comes out of his breaks.
Moss can stretch the field. Vernon can work the short-intermediate routes. Crabs can clean up underneath. I think Raye hurt his grown. He had Crabs going deep too often. That's not his game. He's a possession/YAC guy.

He looks good. But he's a vet, so he supposed to look good at this point. After this team signed Moss and Manningham, drafted A.J in the first, and still signed Palmer and Owusu, a clear message was sent, not just to Crabs, but to the whole WR corps. So he has a lot on motivation to help him look good.
