He's a selfish b*****d. Should have thrown it to Moss,VD, or Crabtree. They were open downfield. I know cuz I have coaches film on NFL Rewind.

gore and hunter will be ruunning more

LMJ will be more on passing downs and screens

That will def give away what we are doing. Loving the vision of a Hunter/ LMJ backfield.

Third and long just got more eye popping on offense.

LMJ could be designated as the back whenever we go in shotgun.

When are the "I Wanna Be LaMike" shirts coming out?

When he starts returning kick offs for Td's
I keep reading about how Coach experienced LMJs redzone scoring first hand, unstoppable. IMO, 3rd downs, screens and RZ will be his playing ground this year. They will use him sporatically through the games to dispel both Gore and Hunter. Were we will see more of him is during the pre-season and he will be a beast!

agreed, can't wait to see this kid.
Been thinking, im not so convinced that lmj is going to be out there on as many 3rd downs as some expect/hope. Imho rathman has built his guys up slowly, especially when it comes down to their blocking assignments they're not thrown out there or at least dont get the lions share until they are ready to protect. Not saying he's not gonna get his looks just thinking we might see more of him on 1st and 2nd down rotation opposed to 3rd down specialist.

What makes Gore special though is what he does to get through the line and into the second level. Not to take anything away from James but lets be honest. Gore is a special player. If he had a better top end speed he'd be unstoppable.

Gore was near unstoppable early in his career and would have been completely unstoppable had he never tore up both knees. But he`s pretty human these days and many backs could have done more with the blocking he got last year. James especially.

I disagree. Gore single-handedly carried this team's offense early in the season for like 4 games in a row where he averaged 125 per and 1 or 2 TD's. There's not many players who can say the same thing at the RB position in the NFL right now. The guy can still ball.

In no way bashing Frank here when I say that our run game was pretty dreadful in the first 3 weeks. Gore averaged 49.3 yds per game and 2.5 yds per carry in the first 3 weeks. It certainly wasn't much his fault... our offense was in the absolute infancy stage. The OL was terrible at opening up much for him, and we did play some pretty good defenses. (all in the top half of the league as total defenses and run defenses)

I don't think any one man "carried" us then. We just had to scrape along until we could evolve further... particularly on the OL.

Kendall Hunter gave some sparks to the offense early on too. I remember late in the Bengals game. And a couple of plays in the second half of the Eagles comeback. Frank needs help. I think the FO realized this too. That's why they added more RBs and WRs. It's not so much as phasing out Frank so much as lessen his load to actually extend his playing years.
