Why would we want to replace him? Not many "backup" TEs that are better than this guy. If his numbers go down a little, it might be a good thing. Hopefully that means our WRs are getting into the passing game more.

The thing about Walker is that he is an oversized wr/undersized TE. When we drafted him he was a wide receiver. Reuland might cause more matchup problems cause he is bigger. Walker is 6'0" 242 as opposed to Reuland who is 6'4" 260.

This. Reuland already has a rep for catching everything in sight and has reportedly made great strides in blocking. Delanie would have trade value as well. Something to think about.

Ah... nevermind. Easier to believe you are displeased with others insinuating that Reuland is better than Walker. Okay. Well.. I'll put it like this, from my perspective. If I was calling a play that had TE # 2 running a wheel or go route? Give me Walker for that. But for most other playcalls? Give me Reuland.

... and both are hit or miss average blockers. Reuland was said, last year, to be lacking power to block effectively. Well now, he's improved to be an adequate blocker, but still win-some-lose-some.. like Walker.

i am so in favor of keeping reuland as a 3rd TE though play action with moss out wide and walker VD and reuland will be pretty deadly

I like that Dobbs shows some skills at TE from his earlier days.. but I'd rather him be pushed more at focusing on DE/rush LB. He has such natural pass rushing talent, and focusing more on those roles would allow us to save roster room on a defensive player (cut Tuku or Bakhtiari)... as much as I feel they don't exactly deserve to be cut.
