The team was really lucky with injuries. Law of averages says 8-8.

You can't tell this early for example if we don't resign Carlos Rogers we are f**ked cuz I know if it was not for him & Goldson we would be worse in the back field on D .
Also if we don't resign Snyder the OL will be in flux again even if we sign a f*gent better than Snyder cuz of continuity on the OL . So ask after FA & draft !

We have to admit that the Niners were luckier than a porn star with three balls when it came to injuries.

Sweep NFC West
3-1 vs NFC North
3-1 vs AFC East
Lose @NO, obliterate NYG
13-3, but still may not be enough for a bye

Handsome one, my man...agree that we need to get a bye to make it to SB. To do that we need to beat away, GB,NO,Pats. Only NYG comes here. That is a tall order. One thing we forget is, we beat NO, NYG plus a slug of E coast teams during season with best D in league, best ST in league, best Coach in league, and best Executive(GM) in league. Our O was fixed on OL, QB, RB, TE. But we did all that winning without a #1, #2, nor #3 WR, instead, going thru the season wth a #4(kyle) and a #5(paid #1 money, craps). Essentially we beat teams 14 times, with NO #1, #2, or #3 WR...and that seems incredible. Watch us in spring and expect Baalke to get us our #1, and then either magically get Blackmon(trade our 1st pick, #30 plus craps, and if we have to, Kap) . That seems unlike baalke, so i am assuming we do the more likely scenario of getting best receiver on board at #30 pick, and he may just be a TE, not a WR. If he can get open and catch, who cares what position he plays. If Fleener is still around, and he is best hands guy on the board, i can't believe we don' t take him.
Then with Coach Harbaugh's knowledge 3 yrs worth of college receivers, look for us to bring half a dozen or more to camp or draft them late, and see if we can find that #3. We obviously get Morgan back so we should have a #2 or 3 there, kyle and craps at # 4 and 5. Put Ginn in mix as back up and special circumstance WR. Actually we really need just 2 outstanding WRs or hands guys, not 3, so the prospect of getting 3 Wrs is not necessary. It is a given we will also upgrade at OG, altho prob not a starter.
When you look at that, the odds of making it thru Murderer's Row of NO, GB. PATS, and NYG doesn't look as daunting as it did on first glance. We literally won this yr with half an Offense. Also, look for craps to be traded for something of equal value. He isn't a team man, a Harbaugh man nor is he a Baalke man. He's a me, me , me guy who needs to go to a team wanting a flashy WR (but who disappears at end of season and playoffs).
I am hoping for a split with NO,NYG, Pats, GB, but allow for a 1-3 record. I see losing a trap game or two, for 11-5, with luck, 12-4. If our two new WRs are instantly outstanding, and move chains on 3rd down and in RZ, then we go 13-3.

Completely agree, that is the most complete and perfect summary I have read. I don't think people realized we smacked teams around with no wr corp, we literally had a number 2 in crabs for what 12 games and a bunch of number 4s and 5s. I don't think another team in the nfl could of done that. Baltimore would be similar except they have bolden and that speedster rookie.
If we have a true number one wr then we win the sb......if we get another number 2 wr either in the draft or fa then who knows.
