Here's my take on the 49ers and Jim Harbaugh in the postseason

It was actually posted on the LA Times website today for a couple of hours

Criticism is welcomed.

Stating we are the number 1 run defense in the NFL is actually an uderstatment. This years Niners have been one of the best run Ds of all time, seriously. For almost the entire season teams averaged less than 75 yards on the ground. The second best team (Raven's I believe) was in the high 90s. We only slipped slightly because we lost Patrick Willis for a few games. Did I mention we only allowed 3 rushing TDs this season? One was a QB sneak, while another was to Lynch who started on our 1 yard line because of a muffed punt.

In other words, calling a run play on the Niners is like taking a QB knee....

9ers rush d has definitely been impressive this year. The whole defense has. I'm not sure the 9ers can count on shutting down the most potent offense in the history of the NFL, however. No one's given them a nickname, but this team shattered the Greatest Show On Turf yardage record. It's a lot of fun to watch.

No doubt Brees and the Saints are having an epic season, but as someone that saw a lot of the "Greatest Show On Turf" (since they were in our division), there hasn't been a team like them since. Unlike the Saints, they didn't continue to run up the score and play their starters the whole game. If I remember correctly, there where a few times Warner wouldn't even play in the 3rd or 4th.

By the way, the Greatest Show on Turf went to the Superbowl and barely beat the Titans 23-16.

lol
The Saints were held to under 100 yards rushing four times this year, all on the road. They lost three of those games and in the other one Atlanta blew it out their a$$.
This may be the most ignorant and idiotic comment I've heard all week from a Saints fan...

Their RB core just isn't build for grinding it up the gut on unstable ground when it counts.

What a dip$hit. Ted Robinson said on KNBR Monday that the NFL monitors the fields during the week during the playoffs to curtail shenanigans. But they can't stop high tides from saturating the field and we've had some nice +6 tides in the Bay this week . . .
