Like wise with our Offense..

it puts so much pressure on opposing Ds...not to mention you have to score every possession just to keep up..

I didn't think so either. There aren't many defenses that hit like the 49ers D and I hear a lot of opposing players and coaches point that out.

Remember Drew played on grass at Purdue and San Diego...

Grass doesn't affect the QB as much as the WRs.

That said, I think the whole grass thing is over-played. The wind is probably a bigger factor. That might marginally affect the passing game, but it won't be what stops the NO offense. The defense will do it...and yeah I expect Brees to pick us apart 20-20 with some good defensive stands inbetween...but once we get crunched into the redzone, any weakness we had in the passing d is gone and the pressure and strength of our front 7 really starts to stand out.

I really believe this game comes down to 49ers D not allowing a big play after the catch by the NO wrs/te and keeping them slightly off their timing with some bumps at the LOS.

Ok, good insight BUT a cover 2 is going to force our LBs to cover Graham at times and that is a Huge mismatch. We need to disguise a few different coverages and be able to get to Brees with 3, 4, and 5 man rushes that is it. (this will drop 6-7-8 man coverages) Don't waste Aldon on bumping Graham use Haralson or Brooks for that. We have to bust the middle of the pocket so Bowman or Willis need to bring pressure up the middle at times hence the 5 man rush. Biggest thing is make the Saints one dimensional, stuff the sh*t out of the run and force them to throw into big coverage.

Your stats show that just over half of the away games were on grass, just over half of the away TDs were scored on grass, and that Brees' passer rating is within 5 points of his regular "away" rating when playing on grass this year. That's a pretty reasonable deviation.

Plus, here I am. Denying it. Must be deniable.

grass is 22% although sample size of 3 games is kind of small

I absolutely agree with this. Saints have more big-play TDs this year than anyone else. It's the scoring from outside the red zone that the 49ers need to limit during this game. If someone misses a LOS jam against Graham, there will probably be hell to pay. Your LBs are better than that, though.
