I think he's probably going demand more money and incentives than Eric Weddle's contract. Remember a few years ago when Antrell Rolle got that huge contract? Totally wasnt worth it but somehow pulled that off. Something tells me he'll want to be at least amongst the Top Three paid safeties.I don't know how I feel about that but the way he's playing he sure is making a case for it!

The smart thing to do is franchise him and possibly trade him. If he's not traded, I would not mind keeping him in 2012.

But to me, once Dashon gets his money, he will be like Alberts Haynesworth-not to that extent of laziness, but ineffectiveness.

Goldson is currently on a 1-year contract. No team is going to trade for him, they'll just wait till he's a FA.
why do yall think he would get lazy or ineffective if he gets paid?

He and Willis are very close, and I'm sure Goldson has special respect for Justin Smith. I'm sure he wouldn't and his fellow brothers on the defense, wouldn't allow him not to give 100%.

I'm sure he likes being here to an extent, but he doesn't strike me as the type of person to choose a team over money. He reportedly refused a 5 year, 25 million dollar deal this offseason from the 49ers brass and probably didn't get better offers from other teams so he was stuck here.

Something like that seems fair for Dashon. But he may command more this offseason.

Playing like this he is one of the best safetys. I think he will get top 5 money at his position. Just my opinion. Whether it's here or somewhere else I don't know. I don't think he will get top 3 money. But we will see.

I'm a SF native living in Seattle (@UDub), and there's been rumors that if RG3 declares, the Hawks might try a package of a 1st rounder and Earl Thomas.

I know, sounds a little extreme, but a ton of ppl up here feel the Hawks are only a QB away from dominance with a resigned Lynch of course. This worries me b/c if we don't franchise Goldson @ least, it'd be VERY possible he'd sign with the Hawks in this scenario. He's a former Husky, would get a ton of money, and be on the West Coast.

Yes, this is an extreme scenario, but not out of the realm of possibility. franchise Goldson if no contract can be reached. I have a feeling Rogers WANTS to stay and will get a great contract, so see him staying for a team/fanbase that LOVES him, not revile him like the skins did.

Sounds good to me .. then maybe our 6th string WR just off of the practice squad can get behind him on a deep throw, too.

Why would the Seahawks sign him when they've got Earl Thomas? Thomas is a better overall player than Goldson.

He said IF they package 1st round pick and Thomas for RGIII they might sign Dashon.
