There's no denying that Goldson is a damn good FS. He has everything you are looking for in a FS: height, size, closing speed, coverage speed, hands, and anticipation. He has shown he's a complete FS. The biggest question is if he can show that he is a complete FS for more than one year.

Dashon Goldson is elite, he's a ballhawk hes always where the ball is when its thrown to his side of the field. He almost had 2 INTs this game but collided with Brown and Rogers, hes a ball hawk, has good hands and can hit hard

Hope we sign him long term

Why franchise and not a long term deal??

Are you kidding me?
We finally have that ballhawking, playmaking safety we've wanted for years. We have to resign him longterm.
SD...absolutely. Rogers, the new and improved Goldson and Whitner totally transformed our once leaky secondary. Whitner's good for a couple more seasons, but we need to re-sign both CR and DG. Off the top, I'd say offer Rogers a 3-yr deal, Goldson a 5-yr deal. Tarrel Brown's good through next season, and based off his 2011 year, he's due for another extension fairly soon. This secondary, put together this year, should only get better, but the only way they can do that is to stay together.
today, i honestly don't even give a s**t if he comes back. but i know when i get over his two absolutely moronic, selfish, dangerous, game changing plays, that I will think that we should sign him long-term if possible and if not give him the franchise tag. he has a unique skill-set, and hopefully can learn to use his brains consistently enough that he doesn't cost you.

Yeah he's stupid for trying to make a play. Damn him I mean it's not like our Cb's were getting torched by Cruz so he felt that he needed to try and do something. I can't believe our pro-bowl ballhawk would go after the ball.

i don't blame him for trying to make plays, but if he's taking the ball away from his own guys and knocking one of them out, I don't think he was making very good plays. you can think that's unfair if you want.

franchinse him so other teams can't give him an offer. he does't have to sign the 1 year tender.

that way we can work on a long term deal w/o interference.

no I understand but take into account the speed of the game and the worst outcome was at least a pass breakup
Would be dumb to let Dashon walk. You guys want another mark roman back there?

fair enough. given the money he's going to command i would like to think he could read the angles better. still want him on the team just think we should be honest that he made two mental errors--and that's not the first time.

So he's supposed to watch the WR, DB, and the ball? good to know

As for the angles I completely agree
