Morgan - 1
Crabs - 2
Williams - 3

That's pretty pathetic for 12 games into the season. How are we going to make a run for the playoffs with that kind of passing game. Don't have the same figures from the Saints or the Packers, but it's got to be extremely lopsided in their favor.

By throwing to the T.E's, RB's as well like we have been doing all season...
The passing game does need to get better, and it has been showing improvement each week. We are more of a running team compared to GB and NO, though.

Some opportunities have been there, the execution hasn't. Whether it were dropped passes or missed throws. Should this offense click on all cylinders... watch out!

Throwing to WRs outside the numbers covered by CBs is more difficult and requires the QB to be more accurate.
Both running and passing in the red zone and anytime we are inside the 37 yard line needs to get better. 35 field goals is to much (not including missed and blocked kicks). 10 - 15 of those need to be converted to TD instead.

Or the WR's to CATCH the ball...

It goes both ways.

our TEs who are also part of the passing game have 8
Why are you ignoring the TE position? Vernon Davis has 5 and Walker has 3. Is the TE position not a valid passing option?

For example, 18 of Tom Brady's 30 touchdown passes have come to TE's.
We average 7.4 per attempt which is 11th in the NFL, our passing attack is pretty good. We do need to improve our Red zone numbers though

Exactly. And considering they often are split wide, instead of the traditional off-tackle set, the term "TE" can be misleading. Our TEs often run traditional WR routes and our WRs often run traditional TE routes. The line is very blurry. Heck, the niners are probably the only team in the NFL that regularly calls a TE end-around.

Whether it's a "WR" or a "TE" next to your name on the roster is pretty irrelevant. I don't watch a ton of Saints or Patriots football but I watch a bit, and it seems that Graham or Gronkowski is the primary read on a great deal of their plays.

I think that's misleading. Our passing offense is near dead last. It's like if I had a 4.0 but only took one class a year while everyone else is taking a full load. Efficiency without production is useless.
If only we had Tebow...
other people can catch touchdowns besides Wide Receivers.
I dont care who scores the touchdowns as long as we get them. I am more concerned with red zone touchdowns that we dont get.

True that, except when the WR gets no separation. Then it doesnt matter how accurate the QB is or isnt. I especially remember the Balitimore game, when i heard over and over, and over again, that when Smith did break from a defender, or have a little time, that no one was open.

So i think this is still an issue. Im glad that Smith is using the long ball and hitting his WR's in stride and perfect bomb's. However, i dont know if it's scheme or play design, but i still have yet to find a game, where our WR's are continuously in the open field. I mean for some reason ALL of our Wr's are usually blanketed.

Now dont get me wrong, they are not always blanketed, not all the time. And in those times, maybe the pass is too high or low, the wrong route is run, or they just drop the ball. But 90 % of the time in my eyes, they just dont gain consistant separation.
