"The last time you saw Spencer" isn't really saying much.
Vic Fangio and the rest of the defensive coaches see Spencer in practice every, single, week. If they're not starting Shawntae Spencer, that shouldn't that tell everyone something?
Players decline, it happens every single year in the NFL. Not sure why people think Shawntae Spencer has been frozen in time and remains in his prime.
We have a good coaching staff correct? If you really believe in that, then rest assure they will put the best 11 defenders on the field on gameday.

I don't know believe it has a lot to do with his play, but rather than something more to it, health, coaches dog house or whatever. Just last year he recorded 3 picks with 9 passes defensed, again there's got to be more to it.

Yeah I'll buy the health issue. I don't buy him "being in the doghouse", Spencer is a class guy, and one of the hardest working and consistent corners we've had, and a big reason why he's been with this franchise since he was drafted.
I just find it funny how some people fail to see obvious reasons why there are other players starting over him. These coaches know what they're doing.
