Shawntae Spencer MIA

Spencer had the talent just always injured-lots of bad luck. I would let him go and look for another in the draft or FA. Bigger deal that we resign Rodgers and develope Culliver and retain Tarell.

Didn't this happen last time we played the Cards, Rogers or brown was hurt and Spencer was active?

Well, Brown was limited in practice, Rogers was hurt in practice, not bad, but injuries can never be good no matter how severe. Culliver is a rookie, and I don't trust Brock on Fitzgerald or Doucet. Now what part of that doesn't make you worry about our secondary??

No kidding, whenever he played Arizona he'd shut down Fitzgerald or Boldin.....most of the time. Now he sucks, he would easily be the best CB off the streets if we needed to sign one.

I don't think anyone is saying he sucks. It's just that our D is playing unreal - why mess with a good thing? People complain about Brown or Culliver should realize that they are playing very well in comparison to 2nd/3rd corners throughout the league. Take a look at other games and watch the #2 and 3 corners on other teams. The good is far outweighed by the bad and the ugly.

It's only in comparison to the rest of our D, which is just stocked with guys playing at or near a pro bowl level, that Brown and Culliver suffer. Why would anyone bang the drum for an aging guy like Spencer, coming off a major injury and not having played for practically a full year?

Not sure why folks can't understand that you earn your starting position by proving it first in practice, and then on game day. Not by what you've "done in the past".

There is a reason why Spencer isn't starting.
