What's the situation with [CB] Shawntae Spencer? He had the toe injury which had him inactive and he played in Arizona then was inactive for Baltimore. Is he 100 percent still or is he still working?
"I don't know that he's 100 percent. One of the reasons he was active against Arizona is because they play a lot of 4-wide receiver sets, so we needed an extra corner up in that game. He's not 100 percent but he's certainly capable of playing."

Don't know if anyone else caught this...

He was supposed to be a starter when the season started but he got hurt and the guys(Brown, Culliver) have played pretty good so theyve kept him on the bottom of the depth chart

This. Can't pay $3 mil for a 5th corner. It's too bad, I really liked the guy. I still think he is better than Brown.

If he could restructure his contract I wouldn't mind him coming back. Injury prone, but if we can keep him for cheap I wouldn't mind keeping him.

Spencer has been serviceable but not much else. I'm content if the coaches feel Culliver and Brown are better options. Spencer deserves this playoff run though, guy has been here for a lot of losing.

To be honest I would like to have him on the field during the playoffs ..if we are going to match up with the Packers and Saints ..we are going to need Spencer to help deal with all of those 4 WR sets both teams like to use ..I would feel more comfortable with Spencer in as an extra DB than Brock , his game experience and coverage skills will be needed when we play those two big passing attacks ......I'd like to see him get a few snaps on Sunday

hopefully they keep him for next year, or renegotiate his contract so he can prove himself again on a one year deal, like Goldson.
but I think another team might give him a chance if he is cut. He has seen a couple of other 9ers go to new teams for one year deals, Bengals and Saints. But I think he would stick around with us because of so much talent around him here. It makes his job alittle easier, like Goldson.
