Well a certain person doesn't attend anymore so...
9-2 season. Only loss at home came upon their arrival to said game.

You're welcome.
The REAL reason i go early is because i just like the atmosphere of being there early.
The players warming up in their shorts on the field. I've even talked to some of the players early before the game started.
I've Had short conversations with Anthony Dixon, Soap, Alex Smith, Andy Lee.
Its pretty cool.

I suggest going early

That's another thing I wanted to know - meeting the players before the game. I know that kids usually get to do this with a special pass, but what about the rest of us? How is it done?

The reason I'm not planning to tailgate is because I'm only going with a couple of close friends. We've never been to a 49er game before (or NFL game for that matter) and we don't really know how tailgating is done. We just want a smooth experience and don't want to try anything too bold, haha. Maybe if we become regulars like you guys, we'll be more comfortable tailgating.

You are more than welcome at the Webzone Tailgates, or any other big tailgate going on. Theres plenty of them with hundreds of people, endless food/beer, DJs, etc.

I met players by just standing first row next to the dugout where they come out of. Just yell their name and if you're lucky they'll stop and u can talk to them for a bit.
Enjoy it, it'll be fun.

Cool! Thanks, I know someone else here mentioned we could joint the WZ tailgate, pot-luck style. But I can't find that thread. Can someone link me to that information? Thanks agian.

And dude we are very easy to find. Look for a red corvette, a motorcycle, a bg ass white dude, or a big ass black dude. And do not be scared to ask around about webzone, many will have no clue but if you are in the area you can likely find us.
Get there early with a truck lot of old lumber or pallets and have a big ass bon fire in the dirt lot all the way out there at the edge of the water, BBQ get drunk play a little mud lot football with your buds, smoke a fat doobie and head into the stick with a couple of bottles of Jack, well that's how we used to roll in the day! Enjoy scream your self hoarse on defense and feel free to point and laugh at the Rams fans, I suggest you toss some Lamb chops on the grill pre game!

If I don't plan to tailgate, then what is a good time to show up. Where I'm not bored out of my mind but have plenty of spaces to park.

Regardless of whether or not you want to tailgate, the tailgaters will see to it that the outer lots fill up early. So if you do not want to wait a long time, get there early and bring a book if you don't want to tailgate. If you want to get to the game before parking becomes too crowded, then you must go early. If you care enough about the game, then you can endure some "boredom". Why do people have to occupy every moment of their lives with something! Spend some time with yourself or your own thoughts, meditate on the state of the world, individual freedom, or justice... read a book... whatever.

If you take time for lunch in SSF then you will be stick in long delays getting into Candlestick, regardless of what other teams do.

Don't expect a "smooth" experience. Whenever you put tens of thousands of people into one enclosed space, it is unlikely things will go "smoothly". Let go of expectations, get there early, and just enjoy yourselves.
Man go early and Tailgate. That way you will be full(food and drink) before the game. It will make your 1st time experience that much better. You dont have to know everyone personally. They will make you feel welcome. Bring some food to cook and you will have a ball. Going to the game aint the same without the tailgate .
